Re: Facebook Thread
You know, people are taking this F**K Islam group so passionately. Which is good, but I wish they would carry that passion other places. For instance, I'm reminded of the Georgetown incident where 25 students went on a hunger strike to help the low paid workers on their campus. If I remember correctly, there wasn't a single Muslim involved. Lets take our energy to our MSA's and create educational events because, in all seriousness, Islamo-fascism week is a bigger obstacle than a facebook group. Or how about world hunger, or the 100s dying in Iraq daily(have we become desensitized to that?) Why not go use our passion and energy and educate the students about Islam, or about the war? Start/adopt an Islam 101, have a dialog with other religious groups, or get involved with organizations who are doing good for human kind. I hope this week that everyone shutting down their facebook account use their free time to do these kinds of events.
I seriously think Muslims have given the "F**K Islam" group more publicity than it ever would have had. It wouldn't have been that big of a deal. And it was quite embarrassing traveling in the Middle East and picking up a paper that showed the Muslim's stance in bold letters: "We R gonna leave." Thanks for the grammatically correct sentence.

tenchar means ten character. people say it because islamica has a minimum limit on the characters you use in a post which is ten characters. so when people's post are too short, they say tenchar so that they can post it.

Yeah, I only deactivated my account for 12 hours. I guess putting all this energy into this group is a little pointless. I mean, if this group gets deleted, another will pop up. We should just treat those groups like Ann Coulter and just ignore them.
Not to mention I need facebook. I realized I couldn't go a week without it.

Re: Facebook Thread
I thought the US had the freedom of speech? As much as I hate the F**K Islam group we have to realise its on a US based site and subject to those laws.

True. However, on a youtube video against Islam, one comment was "I might go kill a Muslim for fun". That stuff needs to be reported.
*edit* Another thing about your comment. Any group against Jews or Christians is shut down immediately, so how does a "fu** Islam" group stay on?

true, but there's still a ''violation of terms of use'' claim i keep hearing them say.
it's all a load of BS.
even if muslims are taking this way too far, it angers me that they shut the F*** judaism group down and nothing else.
i was invited to the group that's protesting their failure to shut down the groups,
and i just deactivated my account
