Let me know how that goes, I've been thinking of doing the same thing...

I just know though that as soon as I buy it, they'll be coming out with a new one the next week.

Well they just refreshed the mbp today so they wont do another update until atleast wwdc 2008 which is in june. The montevina platform should be in early production by then, but I can't wait that long

I'm ashamed to be asking this because I've been using a mac for around 8 months now, and I still don't know...

but is there a packaged photo editor that comes with the computer? You'd think there would be one, like macpaint or something. For pc I just used Irfan view, but all I can find for mac are these trial demos.

I think we should have a definitive mac thread.

Core image fun house is alot like mspaint. It isnt located in the application folder, but if you browse to the >> Mac HD >> Developer >> applications you'll see it there.

Oh, you need to have development tools installed though. which can be dl'd free on apples website

B.t.w. im on my new mbp! Woo hoo thank Allah (swt) for student discounts!

p.s. They should rename this thread to All things Mac

^^ Nope not really. Which version of safari are u using?

They have just upgraded the mb & mbp's. No redesign of course but it does use penryn now and also the multi touch trackpad on mbp's.

Wassalaam

im pretty sure its the latest one.. i downloaded it a few months ago..

it works fine the majority of the time, but the odd time its really slow...

i did a google search.. and came across this mac forum.. ppl on there said that they had the same problem. someone suggested to put 4.2.2.1
4.2.2.2, in the dns server box thingy under network.. that seemed to help.
