Yep. Let's see, there was the desert level, the water level (with the frog suit), the giant level. And the end had a fleet of air ships... I wanna play it right now.

I liked Mario 2 a lot too even though it was another game with a bunch of mario sprites mixed in.

DUDE!! That's the one where you go through some fields, a cave and you have to jump over things! And at the end, you jumped on a skull a chair and the table to rescue Smurfette from Gargamel. And then as a reward... you'd do it all again!

I think DK Junior was my all time favourite though.

the sms wasn't that popular in the US compared to the NES.. everyone had a nes.

i still remember how badly i wanted one and for how long, and how excited i was when i finally got it

and yeah, i remember both altered beast & golden axe. golden axe was killer!

It was the opposite in the UK. I remember feeling Badass when I got a NES with the light gun and Duck Hunt and Legend of Zelda which had a golden cartridge...

Golden Axe was awesome...i'm gonna see if theres somewhere to play it online..

i liked mr. do and dig-dug both. burger time made me remember 'tapper' also. i can't believe i remembered THAT game.

i never played zaxxon. looks somewhat similar to scramble or parsec, though.

The best part of NES in the old days was, when the game cartridges didn't work and you blew on it, thinking you were blowing away the dust or something... and then putting it in, only to find that it still wouldn't work.

And then eventually you'd get frustrated and start knocking on the top of the set, hoping to make it work, and eventually you'd end up pounding on it, in a hysterical fit.

HAHAHA word!

I'd do that right up until I got a Playstation...cartridges had small batteries inside I think..i think thats why they stopped working..
