Anyone into building their own computer!
So what you guys do? Just buy a pre-built computer or buy the pieces and build it yourself?
im kinda into it. I recently bought parts for my new computer. It's much cheaper if you can take the time and sometimes annoyances of doing it yourself.
CPU: E6600 (2.4GHz C2D )
Motherboard: DFI Infinity P965
Graphics Card: Intel Geforce 8800 GTS 640MB
Memory: 2x1GB PC2-8000 1000MHz
Hard Drive: 2x320 GB Maxtor Sata 3.0
Optical Drive. Pioneer DVD 710
Power Supply: Ultra X-Finity 600 Watt
Monitor: 22 inch Viewsonic
Mouse: Logitech G5
Keyboard: Logitech G15
CPU Cooling Thermaltake Ultra Extreme with Scythe E
I'm able to overclock the cpu to 3.0 GHz
so whats your setup?

9 years for a computer is like forever in this world of electronics. thats great!
mac's are fun computers; do you really like it more than a pc or just trying it out?

I have an Ibook. I love it. I don't know my way around it as much as I do a pc, but it's very easy to use. The only thing I really dislike about it is the Photo Library. If I wanted to upload a picture, I can't view all the pictures at one time, I have to go back through the months/dates of when I first uploaded that picture. It's a pain in the ass because who memorizes the date when they upload a picture?

many things are the same as in a regular pc, but some are quite different. Whenever my dad asks me how to do something on his mac, its like a 50 percent chance I'll have no idea and cant find the answer!

19" widescreen 5ms
i like it, could use an e6600 though, prices have dropped since i bought my processor. my xfx died recently and is in RMA, using a BFG 8500 GT for now.
yousef you have a gamer system but what games do you play?

Meh...My computer is on my desk in pieces...
Its so screwed up now...
My video card is really screwed up, it can't keep up with much...

umm im into counterstrike(best FPS ever) battlefield 2, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, just got Bioshock, will install soon.
I play Battlefield 2 and counterstrike online though.
The e4300 is a good cpu though, it can overclock really well, if you havent already looked into that, it is really fun and easy. I upped my e6600 from a 2.4 to 3.0 ghz, with just the CPU Cooling Thermaltake Ultra Extreme. I can go higher, but i'm not too crazy.

I just built my PC for school, doing 3D Modeling & Animation and also gaming, so I need a good enough PC. I spent a total of 2,500$ on this PC. 2000 for PC and 500$ for a Tablet.

Also beta testing Tabula Rasa MMORPG  . Also do heavy renderings with 3D Studio Max, Zbrush, and other applications for school...Can't wait till they fix vista so i can use all 4GB and more

great pc! love the vid card, i was looking at that but couldn't because it was such a riduculous price! yea i cant wait for Crisis either, i just downloaded call of duty 4 the demo, pretty freakin tight!

yaa..battlefield 2 is great! i usually don't get too much time to play games now a days to be honest :S and it's ironic cuz thats sorta what im doing...3D Animation and stuff...but i really am looking forward to Gears of War for PC. We should play in CS , do u play source of 1.6?
