Your Cell Bill
AsSalamu' Alaykum,
It's official. I HATE Cingular. My last bill was 120 bucks. No, actually, it was 122.55.
I wanted unlimited text messaging, fine, I coughed up the 20 bucks for that. Come to find out that media texts are not included in that, so I got charged an additional 20 bucks.
40 bucks for text messaging!!!! UGHHHHHHH!!!!
I pay 40 bucks for minutes, minutes that contrary to popular belief [do to their false advertising] DO EXPIRE, and I don't even get unlimited nights and weekends.
I'm looking to get on Sprint next month. We have horrible T-Mobile reception and Version is just as dumb expensive as Cingular.

Hmmm. I've never had a cellphone bill above 40 bucks. I've never gone over my minutes either (I've had the same plan for about 5 years). You need to budget more

Re: Your Cell Bill
Actually, you do not have Cingular.... It's the New AT&T. lol
I have the same service, but I get like 1500 text messages and unlimited mediaNet, unlimited video, I don't know how much the picture texts are, but I rarely send them. My bill is like $110, but I feel its worth it.
I can get service in my house and my sister, who has verizon can't. Plus, you gotta love rollover minutes. They expire after like 6 months, which works fine with me. I have like 600 rollover minutes in addition to my 900 anytime minutes. I can literally talk all day if I wanted to.

Re: Your Cell Bill
sis from space and shadha,
you should check out the SERO plan from sprint.
Sprint SERO Plan NOW for EVERYONE!!!
here's a link that helps to get more from it but basically its
The Three options are
30 bucks for 500 anytime minutes
50 bucks for 1250 anytime minutes
100 bucks for 2500 anytime minutes
then they all get this with it:
- Unlimited Sprint Vision or Power Vision (Vision for Vision phones, Power Vision for Power Vision phones)
- Unlimited Mobile to Mobile
- Unlimited Sprint Picture Mail
- Unlimited Roaming
- Unlimited Text (Per SERO website: "Unlimited text messaging included with all plans through 12/31/07")
- Unlimited Nights & Weekends (Starts @ 9PM if signed up before 12/03/06, 7 PM for those after)(6 PM nights & weekends for $10/month).
- Nationwide Long Distance- Crystal Clear Calls
- Voice Mail
- Caller ID
- Call Waiting
- Numeric Paging
- Three-Way Calling
Not sure about the crystal clear calls, but it's still worth it.
1-888-876-8381 Employee Customer Service (Includes SERO customers)
I have it and I love it with my ppc6700 phone, unlimited internet is awesome.

Mine is $36 a month, 300 anytime minutes, texting not included. I use my house phone for long calls. I have Tmobile, reception is pretty good. I don't feel the need to text since you can just leave a message, or can IM/email a person if you're near a computer, that's enough texting for me.

Re: Your Cell Bill
sprint's customer service BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWS! just so you know. but their plans are awesome.
i'm on a family plan with 4 other members of my fam (for each phone greater than 2 on a family plan, you have to pay $10). 700 shared anytime mins, free nights & weekends (starting at 7 pm), free sprint to sprint calls, my sis gets 300 texts ($5) and i get free vision (picmails and internet) and unlimited text messaging ($7, i think), for a grand total of around $130/month.

moonstar i totally thought like you did a couple of months ago, but after i got the free texting i started to use it for group messages...saves me so much time and minutes when i can just text all of the guys at once when we gonna play some basketball, instead of calling one by one!

Re: Your Cell Bill
Well if you purchase a plan online with sprint you can get 500 minutes for 30$(after taxes 36). A friend of mine sent me the link I checked it and it's for real like that. But couldn't find any phone I liked.
I have been with cingular(now AT&T) for 3 years. I just bought a new phone and can't get rid of 50$ bill(39.99+tax).
