Default How many Ayats are in the Qur'an?

Salaam Alaikum

I hope you're Ramadan is going well for you, may you attain your reward for your discipline and steadfastness.

I just wanted to know how many verses the Qur'an contains. I want to read the entire Qur'an within the month of Ramadan, so I would divide the number of verses the Qur'an contains by 25, and would read that amount of verses each day to attain that goal. Any help would be much appreciated.

About 6,600.

Just read one part [Juz] everyday and you'll do fine. That's a better option than just reading the same number of ayaat per day because they're not all the same length - some verses are really long while others are really short.

So if instead you aim to complete just one Juz' per day, then you make better use of your time.
