Re: Hadith of the day
Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Stay with what I have left you [without asking more]. Those before you were destroyed by their excessive questioning and disagreeing with their Prophets. When I forbid you to do something, avoid it, and when I command you to do something, do it as much as you are able." [Agreed upon]

Re: Hadith of the day
On the authority of Abu Harayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Allah the Almighty said:
"I am as My servant thinks I am. I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assemble better than it. And if he draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a fathom's length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed." (Al-Qudsi number 15)

Re: Hadith of the day
Narrated Ibn Abbas:
I (in my boyhood) went out with the Prophet on the day of ‘Id ul Fitr or Id-ul-Adha. The Prophet prayed and then delivered the Khutba and then went towards the women, preached and advised them and ordered them to give alms.

Re: Hadith of the day
Abu Ayyoub reported that the Messenger of Allah, salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam said "Whoever fasts the month of Ramadhan and then follows it by fasting six days during the month of Shawwal will be rewarded as if he had fasted the entire year. [Muslim, at-Tirmithi, Ibn Majah, Abu Dawood and Ahmad by way of Jabir].
These days can be anytime during the month of Shawwal except the first day because it is unlawful to fast the day of Eid. These days do not have to be at beginning of the month nor do they have to be consecutive. Hence, Muslims should seize this opportunity and fast these six days.

Re: Hadith of the day
Narrated Anas:
The Prophet said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the sweetness (delight) of faith:
1. The one to whom Allah and His Apostle becomes dearer than anything else.
2. Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake.
3. Who hates to revert to Atheism (disbelief) as he hates to be thrown into the fire."

Hadith
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith
Hadith 4994 Narrated by
Abdullah ibn Mas'ud
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "Allah Most High has allotted you your characters just as He has allotted you your provisions. Allah Most High gives worldly things to those whom He loves and those whom He does not love, but He gives religion only to those whom He loves, so he who is given religion by Allah has been loved by Him. By Him in Whose hand my soul is, a man is not a Muslim till his heart and tongue are submissive, and he is not a believer till his neighbour is safe from injurious behaviour on his part."
Ahmad and Bayhaqi, in Shu'ab al-Iman transmitted it.
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith
Hadith 1922 Narrated by
AbuDharr
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "There are three whom Allah loves and three whom Allah hates. Those whom Allah loves are a man who, when one came and begged from some people in Allah's name, not because of any relationship between him and them, and was refused by them, withdrew from them and gave him something secretly, no one knowing of the gift but Allah and the one who gave it; a man who travelled all night with people till sleep was more desirable to them than anything which could be compared with it, and when they laid down their heads he stood up and engaged in his devotions and recited verses of the Qur'an; and a man who was in a detachment which met the enemy and was routed, yet he went straight forward till he was killed or given victory. The three whom Allah hates are an old man who commits fornication, a poor man who is proud, and a rich man who is oppressive."
Tirmidhi and Nasa'i transmitted it but Nasa'i did not mention the three whom Allah hates.
Sunan of Abu-Dawood
Hadith 2653 Narrated by
Jabir ibn Atik
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: There is jealousy which Allah loves and jealousy which Allah hates. That which Allah loves is jealousy regarding a matter of doubt, and that which Allah hates is jealousy regarding something which is not doubtful. There is pride which Allah hates and pride which Allah loves. That which Allah loves is a man's pride when fighting and when giving sadaqah and that which Allah hates is pride shown by oppression. The narrator Musa said: "by boasting."
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith
Hadith 381 Narrated by
Mu'adh ibn Jabal
Mu'adh heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: Allah, the master of honour, says: For those who love one another for the sake of fear of My majesty and magnificence, there will be high seats of light that will be the envy of prophets and martyrs.

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith
Hadith 4838 Narrated by
AbuSa'id

Transmitted by Tirmidhi.
Sunan of Abu-Dawood
Hadith 4582 Narrated by
AbuDharr

AbuDharr
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) came out to us and said, "Do you know which action is dearest to Allah Most High?" Ahmad transmitted it, and AbuDawud transmitted the second part.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith
Hadith 2.504 Narrated by
Abu Huraira
The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, "Seven people will be shaded by Allah under His shade on the day when there will be no shade except His. They are:
(1) a just ruler;
(2) a young man who has been brought up in the worship of Allah, (i.e. worship Allah (Alone) sincerely from his childhood),
(3) a man whose heart is attached to the mosque (who offers the five compulsory congregational prayers in the mosque);
(4) two persons who love each other only for Allah's sake and they meet and part in Allah's cause only;
(5) a man who refuses the call of a charming woman of noble birth for an illegal sexual intercourse with her and says: I am afraid of Allah;
(6) a person who practices charity so secretly that his left hand does not know what his right hand has given (i.e. nobody knows how much he has given in charity).
(7) a person who remembers Allah in seclusion and his eyes get flooded with tears."
Al-Tirmidhi Hadith
Hadith 455 Narrated by
AbuUmamah Sudayy ibn Ajlan al-Bahili
