Re: Hadith of the day
Rasulullah (saw) is reported to have said, 'By Him Who holds my life in His hand the breath of the fasting man's mouth is more fragrant before God and better pleasing to Him than redolent musk.'
[Sahih Muslim]

Re: Hadith of the day
You can do more than 1 right?
Bukhari:V1B10N510"Allah's Apostle said, ‘If it is very hot, the severity of the heat is from the raging of the Hell Fire.'"
Tabari I:299"Scholars of the nation of our Prophet say, ‘The tree which Allah forbade Adam and his spouse to eat was wheat.'"
Wheat tree? Hmmmm, that is interesting.

Re: Hadith of the day
Last warning Jeff -- don't derail threads with proselytizing or you will be punted. The spirit of this particular thread is very clear, and it's also very clear that you are not honouring that spirit.

Re: Hadith of the day
Allah the Almighty has laid down religious duties, so do not neglect them; He has set boundaries, so do not overstep them; He has prohibited some things, so do not violate them; about some things He was silent out of compassion for you, not forgetfulness, so seek not after them. (Daraqutni)

Bismillah
Narrated by Hazrat Sa'd (Razi Allah Ta'lah Anhu):
When the Prophet (Sal-allahu-aleihi-wasallam) was asked which people suffered the greatest affliction, he replied, "The prophets, then those who come next to them, then those who come next to them. A man is afflicted in keeping his religion. If he is firm in his religion his trial is severe, but if there is weakness in his religion it is made light for him, and it continues like that till he walks on the earth having no sin."
(Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it. Hadith No.1562 of Mishkat al-Masabih)

Bismillah
Narrated by Abu Huraira (Radi Allah Ta'lah Anhu):
The Messenger of Allah (Sal-allahu-aleihi-wasallam) observed: Avoid the seven noxious things. It was said (by the hearers): What are they, Messenger of Allah? He (the Holy Prophet Sal-allahu-aleihi-wasallam) replied: Associating anything with Allah, magic, killing of one whom God has declared inviolate without a just cause, consuming the property of an orphan, consuming of usury, turning back when the army advances, and slandering modest women who are believers, but unwary.
(Muslim Book No.1 Hadith No.161)
