I understand that, I merely asked them what the difference was between the old testament and the new, and since you were talking about Leviticus I wanted to know why they didn't follow it. After all, the argument here has been why don't they follow the whole bible and kill homosexuals according to the law in Leviticus and this was the explanation given to me and I can see their side of it. So based on that, it is easy to see that the interviewer was not really seeking an answer to the question but was trying to set this guy up. I'm sure Muslims wouldn't appreciate it if someone did the same to one of their Imams about something irrelevant to their understanding of their faith.
But I'd also like to add to your last part about this being an Islamic forum, that if people from all backgrounds and faiths are welcome here, and you are going to discuss certain aspects of their beliefs, isn't it fair to find out what they mean from their p.o.v.? After all you would want the same respect given to you and your beliefs.
