Asalaamwalaikum
Either direction you choose to look in, you can use logic or reasoning to a certain extent to validate your beliefs. However, at a certain point, one must take a leap of faith. Even agnostics, who think they are being so "logical" have FAITH that there is no Hereafter. If you choose to not have faith of any kind, then you pretty much are just standing on one point in time, moving nowhere, looking nowhere, standing still. Your soul is frozen. |

Well, to me, that is a pretty cowardly position. At least take a leap of faith, in one direction or the other. What purpose does stepping away from the "impossible" serve anyway?

Why is admitting that you don't know something, and being fine with that, cowardly?

Not knowing something and admitting is okay. But from a fatalistic point of view, on the Day of Judgement, those people who didn't bother to find out what could have been, will then become cowards.

this person means that if some one just believes in God without following a religion. Thats the thing I have often wondered too. Why do we have to do rituals to belieive in God?

![]() I can see how from a "Day of Judgement" type of religion's perspective, undecided people might burn in hell for not picking one (or that particular one even). But I still don't see how it makes them cowards. Maybe they did bother to look around and weren't convinced by any of the options available. |
