basically yeah
I don't mean to be rude or controversial or anything but I'm genuinely interested basically if a just Islamic government were to be established what would happen to non-Dhimmis. i know christians and jews (kitabis) who pay the jizya tax will be protected. however, in an islamic state what would be the fate of:

1) hindus and other polytheists
2) atheists
3) people from other sects in Islam such as the Shia or the Ibadhis

because if we were to have an iSLAMIC government from pakistan all the way to morocco, there will be a large proportion especially concentrated in iran, south of iraq, east arabia, azerbaijan, who are majority shia. how will these guys fare out under an islamic government

i want religious soucres + personal opinions

The Shia are still considered Muslim.

The jizyah applies to all non-Muslims and not just ahlul-kitab.

1. Some 'Ulema such as Imam Shahrastani analogized that Hindus were similar to Sabians and thus like Ahl ul Kitab and that would absolve them of Jizyah.

2. Atheists would probably be exiled

3. Most Shias are Muslims
