Actually this thread is real.

There are many Salafi brothers literally obsessed with Shaykh Taymiyah and then those who're obsessed with Ibn Abdul Wahhab (Hence called the Wahhabies) Just like there are some Sufi goofies who're obsessed with their Shaykh Haqqani (hence the name Haqqanis).

I'm neither a Sufi nor Salafi/wahhabi... I see major errors in people who go to either one of the extremes in liking and praising their Shaykhs to such an asburd extent that they'd make some Sahabis whom the Prophet SAW have loved look bad..honestly

Not really. I rarely hear salafis quoting Shaykh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab. Sure they mention him now and then, but the only time they go deep in talking about him, is when they try to clear misconceptions.

They quote shaykhul islam ibn taymiyya a lot, but he was major classical scholar. and they quote others like him just as much.

Just to clarify, his thread is anti-Haqqani, not anti-Sufi.. I'm clarifying because a lot of Sufis might not want to be associated with the Haqqanis or have certain Haqqani beliefs and practices associated with Sufism.
