Maybe because majority of the Islamicans here are from America? I've never been to the West. Í've always lived in the Middle-East.

Not to make it sound like I'm stalking you, but what kind of accent do English speaking Middle-Easterners have? (regardless of what their ethnicity is)

Well it depends, especially on your schooling. If you were born here and went through a British/American Schooling then you most likely will have a British/American accent. [More American then British because most teachers are American or have American accents]. But if the initial stages were of schooling were spent in say an Arab/Indian/Pakistani School, then there is more likely of there been a hint of your mother tongue in how you speak English. Or if you shift here after a couple of years from another Country, then again there is in most cases going to be a hint of your mother tongue in your English.

But regardless of accent, most people over here [Especially in Dubai], have clear English. I think the reason is because it's pretty diverse and multi-cultured, and everyone usually communicates in English.
