Good post. I'd just like to add that we were not commanded to look into the hearts, nor can we do that if we tried. Abu Sufyan (ra) and Hind (ra) converted to Islam at a time when it seemed expedient for them to do so, yet Abu Sufyan (ra) would actually lose two eyes for his service to Islam.
I haven't watched the video yet, but if he converted to Islam, then all is well. I know plenty of people who converted to Islam in such a way, and some in our community claimed that they converted just to marry, but Al-Hamdu Lillah many of the converts became better Muslims than the rest of us.

Asalaamualaikum,
Alhamdulillah that he did, perhaps his conversion will strengthen his ties to muslims and soon be more defensive towards them. As soon as a non-muslim converts to Islam, they are considered our brothers and sisters and they may marry whoever they want amongst us. Our tongues should speak only good about muslims. If his intentions are wrong then it will show up later and he may or may not fix them. Allahu allam.

Bro, I don't know his story, but it seems like he is going through a rough patch. If his girl left him for a white guy, then that was quite dishonest of her, and we shouldn't make fun of Kona for that. I certainly don't wish heartbreak on anyone.
Having said that, I think leaving your religion because of a girl is a horrible thing. Rather, Kona should think to himself: "I've lost my girl, but it will be ok so long as I don't lose my Lord Most High".
May Allah [swt] guide Kona back to Islam.
