Re: Qur'anic Verse of the Day
{ ٱلَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُمْ بِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ أَلاَ بِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ ٱلْقُلُوبُ }
those who believe and whose hearts are reassured, find rest, by God’s remembrance]. Verily by God’s remembrance are hearts reassured ( and at peace).

"It is not your wealth nor your sons, that will bring you nearer to Us in degree: but only those who believe and work righteousness - these are the ones for whom there is a multiplied Reward for their deeds, while secure they (reside) in the dwellings on high!" [34:37]

Re: Qur'anic Verse of the Day
And whosoever fears Allah and keep his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him. Verily, Allah will accomplish his purpose. Indeed Allah has set a measure for all things. (at-Talaaq: 2-3)

Re: Qur'anic Verse of the Day
Quote:
They worked for him as he desired, making arches, images, basins as large as reservoirs, and cooking cauldrons fixed in their places: "Work you, sons of David, with thanks!" But few of My servants are grateful.
Then, when We decreed (Solomon's) death, nothing showed them his death except a little worm of the earth, which kept (slowly) gnawing away at his staff: so when he fell down, the Jinns saw plainly that if they had known the unseen, they would not have tarried in the humiliating Penalty (of their Task).
34:13-14
|
Ibn Kathir [R.A]:
During his rule, Prophet Solomon's [pbuh] public work was largely carried out by the jinns. This was a punishment for their sins of making people believe that they were all-powerful, knew the unseen, and could foresee the future.
Solomon's death, like his life, was unique. The people had to learn that the future is known neither by the jinns, nor by the prophets, but by Allah alone. Solomon's effort in this direction did not end with his life, for even his death became an example. He was sitting holding his staff, overseeing the jinns at work in a mine. He died sitting in this position. For a long time no one was aware of his death, for he was seen sitting erect. The jinns continued with their sand toil, thinking that Solomon was watching over them.
Many days later, a hungry termite began nibbling Solomon's staff. It continued to do so, eating the lower part of the staff, until it fell out of Solomon's hand, and his great body fell to the ground. People hurried to him, realizing that he had died a long time ago and that the jinns did not perceive the unseen, for had the jinns known the unseen, they would not have kept working, thinking that Solomon was alive

{ وَإِذَا سَمِعُواْ للَّغْوَ أَعْرَضُواْ عَنْهُ وَقَالُواْ لَنَآ أَعْمَالُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَالُكُمْ سَلاَمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ لاَ نَبْتَغِي لْجَاهِلِينَ }
And when they hear vanity, vile words and hurtful intent, they disregard it and say, ‘To us [belong] our deeds and to you [belong] your deeds. Peace to you — a parting truce (salām mutāraka). We do not desire the ignorant’, we do not seek companionship with them.

Behold, We have willed that all beauty on earth be a means by which We put men to a test, which of them are best in conduct; and, verily, We shall reduce all that is on it to barren dust!

Creator of the heavens and the earth from nothingness, He has only to say when He wills a thing: “Be,” and it is] (Al-Baqarah 2:117)
23:14 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create
That is how God creates what He wills, when He decrees a thing, He says “Be,” and it is] (Aal `Imran 3:47).

Re: Qur'anic Verse of the Day
"Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High,
The One who has created in due proportion,
The One who ordains and guides,
The One who brings out the grassland,
And then turns it into dark dry stubble,
We will make you recite, and you will not forget,
Except what Allah wills,
He knows all that is apparent and all that is hidden,
We will make easy for you the way to ease,
So remind them, in-case the Reminder benefits them,
Those who are fearful will take heed,
But those who are wretched will turn away,
They will be cast into a great burning fire,
Therein they will neither die nor live,
Prosperous are those who purify their souls,
Those who remember the name of their Lord and perform the prayers,
Yet you prefer the life of this world,
Even though the Hereafter is better and more lasting,
Indeed, this was revealed in the earlier Scriptures,
The Scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa."

Say: If your fathers and your sons and your brethren and your mates and your kinsfolk and property which you have acquired, and the slackness of trade which you fear and dwellings which you like, are more beloved to you than Allah and His Rasul and striving in His way, then wait till Allah brings about His command: and Allah does not guide the disobedient ones [transgressors].
[Surah Tawbah]

"Oh Allah, Owner of the kingdom, You give the kingdom to whoever You will, and You take the kingdom away from whoever You will; You honour whoever You will, and You disgrace whoever You will. In Your hand lies all good; indeed, You have power over all things. You make the night enter into the day, and the day enter into the night. You bring the living out of the dead, and the dead out of the living, and You provide for whoever You will without measure." - (3:26-27)

Re: Qur'anic Verse of the Day
salams
A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.
Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem?
And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false?
Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,-
And ye the while (sit) looking on,-
But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,-
Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,-
Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)?
Surah AL-WAQIA 080-87

The Prophet, and the believers with him, believe in what has been bestowed upon him from on high by his Sustainer: they all believe in God, and His angels, and His revelations, and His apostles, making no distinction between any of His apostles; and they say:
"We have heard, and we pay heed. Grant us Your forgiveness, O our Sustainer, for with You is all journeys' end!
"God does not burden any human being with more than he is well able to bear: in his favour shall be whatever good he does, and against him whatever evil he does.
"O our Sustainer! Take us not to task if we forget or unwittingly do wrong!
"O our Sustainer! Lay not upon us a burden such as You didst lay upon those who lived before us! O our Sustainer! Make us not bear burdens which we have no strength to bear!
"And efface Thou our sins, and grant us forgiveness, and bestow Thy mercy upon us! Thou art our Lord Supreme: succour us, then, against people who deny the truth!" (2:285-286)
