SHAKIR: O wives of the Prophet! you are not like any other of the women; If you will be on your guard, then be not soft in (your) speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease yearn; and speak a good word.





033.033
SHAKIR: And stay in your houses and do not display your finery like the displaying of the ignorance of yore; and keep up prayer, and pay the poor-rate, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah only desires to keep away the uncleanness from you, O people of the House! and to purify you a (thorough) purifying.





033.034
SHAKIR: And keep to mind what is recited in your houses of the communications of Allah and the wisdom; surely Allah is Knower of subtleties, Aware.

Surely the men who submit and the women who submit,
and the believing men and the believing women,
and the obeying men and the obeying women,
and the truthful men and the truthful women,
and the patient men and the patient women
and the humble men and the humble women,
and the almsgiving men and the almsgiving women,
and the fasting men and the fasting women,
and the men who guard their private parts
and the women who guard,
and the men who remember Allah much
and the women who remember--
Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a mighty reward.

إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا

33:56 Verily, God and His angels bless the Prophet: [hence,] O you who have attained to faith, bless him and give yourselves up [to his guidance] in utter self-surrender!

There are among men some who serve Allah, as it were, on the verge: if good befalls them, they are, therewith, well content; but if a trial comes to them, they turn on their faces: they lose both this world and the Hereafter: that is loss for all to see!

"Our Lord! We have indeed heard the call of a caller inviting us to faith, saying, 'Believe in your Lord', so we have believed. Our Lord, forgive us for our wrongdoings, and remove from us our sins, and make us die with those who are righteous." - (3:193)

41. O you who believe! Remember Allah with much remembrance.
42. And glorify His Praises morning and afternoon.
43. He it is Who sends His blessings on you, and His angels too, that He may bring you out from darkness into light.
And He is Ever Most Merciful to the believers.
44. Their greeting on the Day they shall meet Him will be "Salam: Peace!" And He has prepared for them a generous reward.

55:24 - And His are the ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains
55:25 - Then which of the favors will you deny?

What struck me about these verses is the fact that He (swt) is referring to the creations of man as evidence of the Divine beauty. Too often we tend to think such beauty can only be found in nature and downplay our own achievements. We say "oh that art is great, but it's nothing compared to the nature God's created" or "I don't care if that song is beautiful and puts you at peace... if it's not the qur'an, it's not from God". This is incorrect. We must appreciate beauty in whatever form we receive it and recognize it ultimately as a manifestation of the Originator. To deny this would be to deny His favors.

"How great the works of man and the things he makes
How great – then how great the Creator?"

"Indeed We have revealed it (Qur'an) in the night of Power. And what will explain to you what the night of Power is? The night of Power is better than a thousand months. Therein descends the Angels and the Spirit (Jibreel) by Allah's permission, on every errand: (they say) "Peace" (continuously) till the rise of Morning!" Q(97:1-5)

أَفَرَءَيۡتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَـٰهَهُ ۥ هَوَٮٰهُ وَأَضَلَّهُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ عِلۡمٍ۬ وَخَتَمَ عَلَىٰ سَمۡعِهِۦ وَقَلۡبِهِۦ وَجَعَلَ عَلَىٰ بَصَرِهِۦ غِشَـٰوَةً۬ فَمَن يَہۡدِيهِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ ٱللَّهِ*ۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

Then seest thou such a one as takes as his god his own vain desire? Allah has, knowing (him as such), left him astray, and sealed his hearing and his heart (and understanding), and put a cover on his sight. Who, then, will guide him after Allah (has withdrawn guidance)? Will ye not then receive admonition?

Surah al-Jathiyyah v 22

"Oh you who believe! Stand up for justice, and testify to Allah, even if it is against yourselves, your parents, or your relatives; whether they are rich or are poor, Allah is more worthy than them." - (4:135)
