Assalam Alaikum

Quick question about fasting during ramadan, if one misses a a fast due to any reason what so ever they must make is up correct? Does that include medical reasons unless it's somethnig extremely serious and you can't fast?? Also If one pays sadkah (charity) they still need to make them up right?

Also, about the sick person making up fast, it says in the Qur'an:

“… but if any of you is ill or on a journey, the same number (should be made up) from other days…” [al-Baqarah 2:184]

So you should make them up, insha-Allah!

The only time you can give money to make up your fasts is if you have a medical conditions that prevents you from fasting, and there is no chance you will ever recover and be able to make up your fasts.
