I think what Hanbali was getting is that you follow your nafs over the Shari'ah. But I could be totally misinterpreting him.
And in terms of the accusation that he engaged in "takfeer", this is absurd as well. Jaysh said she would live in the Kaafir compounds - the areas in Saudiyyah where non-Muslims live. Thats not the same as saying she's a non-Muslim.

Ultimately, migrations are almost always motivated by financial and quality-of-life issues. It can be couched in all kinds of rationalizations, but thats just the way it is for nearly everybody. The "hijra" people are almost always purely talk, just like the "jihad" people. When the money and the comfort is there, hijra talk will be accompanied by hijra action

most of the muslim expats in saudi live on compounds too, especially the ones with educations and professional jobs

Thank you. That is exactly what I was saying.
Shadha loves them more than she loves Muslims. She is always defending the American army, but she is first to condemn Muslims who do certain things. This is my criticism of her. |

Life in Saudi is very comfortable. You can live a better quality of life in Saudia than in America. |

This is very true. And to pre-empt and respond to some who might claim it's a Arab/non-Arab divide, even non-Gulf Arabs live in ex-pat compounds (like Jordanians and Egyptians for example).
