I'll be honest. I heard those lectures and was quite impressed with them.

im pretty sure if all Muslim got up and left, then that would be a warning in and of itself of whatever is to come.

but yea keyline is to respect others the way u want to be treated. i dont understand why some ppl are so hung up on caring or controlling what others do.

Pretty sure anyone who says that is just joking about The Simpsons.
Urban Dictionary: cheese eating surrender monkeys

You would probably be dissapointed with what you found when you got there. My Saudi friend was telling me about her American neigbors who moved to Saudi for that reason, and how dissapointed they were with what they found.
Every place has it's pro's and con's. I don't think there is any perfect place.

I have a lot of close contacts in Saudi Arabia. So I am well apprised of the situation there. It is a nice place to live if you are Salafi. I have consistently heard that there are a lot of tough things about living in Saudia, but overall it is the best place on earth to live.
Anyways, I might still relocate to Saudi Arabia, just to raise my kids in an Islamic environment. But it won't be because I think it is haram to live in the West.

It's good to keep and open mind and be realistic about what you're doing. I think a lot of people who make hijrah don't do their research, and aren't prepared for ground conditions. They paint an unrealistic picture of what life in those countries is like, and then get severe culture shock and disapointment once they arrive and find it isn't the place they imagined.
I don't think I'm obligated to make hijrah, but I wouldn't mind living there either. I would just need a job that would pay me enough to pay my debts and such. Heck, I would probably even be able to adjust to life in Pakistan if I had to.

Those are the ones you hear from, because they come back.
I know so many people who are dying to stay in Saudia, trying desperately to renew their iqamah, etc.

I agree a lot of people do this. But I am not one of them.

ChotooMotoo: My Saudi friend was telling me about her American neigbors who moved to Saudi for that reason, and how dissapointed they were with what they found.
Several Americans that I know of who spoke trash about America and made 'hijrah' to Saudi turned their asses back around within months.
