The Islamic Trivia
Asalaamualaikum,
Surprised no one has posted a trivia kind of thread yet. So i ask a question that relates to Islam/Muslim history and the next person has to answer and ask another question. Simple. Try to make the question not impossible!
How many jewish tribes lived in Medinah at the beginning of the Prophets Hijrah to Medinah and what were their names?
Asalaamualaikum,
-Zahid

The answer is 3. Banu Qurayza, Banu Qaynuqah, Banu Nadir.
Next question: Upon what religion did Najashi, the King of Abyssinia, die?
(sorry couldn't think of any other question)
Wassalamu alaikum.

They say he died on Islam. In his heart he had accepted Islam.
[No? Yes?]

Yes Sidi. Ok, I'm running out of questions...I think the person who answers and knows he/she is right, should come up with the next question. I can't really think of easy questions right now, so here comes the next one:
Question: There are two distinct ways of understanding Fiqh in Islamic Jurisprudence i.e. how rulings and the usool behind rulings are derived? What are the names of these two ways?

Ijma and Qiyas.
This should be pretty easy.
Who was the Woman who defended the Prophet Sallalahu alayhi wasallam in the battle of Uhud?

Humm I think I didn't word my question right. Maybe I should have said 'schools'.
The right answer is: Madarasat al fuqaha and Madarsat al mutakalimeen. Sorry
Don't know the answer to your question though. Maybe more knowledgeable members will answer it.

If I remember correctly, it was because he became angry with the people not following him that he left the town without Allaah's consent.
