"7 Dinars"....this brings tears to my eyes....
7 Dinars
This is an excerpt from a book that is about to be published Insha-Allah on the Nation of Islam...in this particular section, we are comparing Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah [s], the true Prophet, with Elijah Poole, a.k.a. Elijah Muhammad, the false messenger and dajjal....it also compares Prophet Muhammad [s] with Louis Farrakhan, the successor to the dajjal.
Elijah Muhammad
Elijah, as is well-known, lived in pomp and extravagance; he used his “followers to purchase expensive cars and homes for him(self); to provide him with bodyguards and servants; and to give him other manifestations of affluence. These luxuries have been obtained at the expense of his followers who are, in the main, extremely poor.” [ref] Under Elijah’s rule, members were expected to donate at least $6 to $13 per week, or suffer the consequences from the militant Fruit of Islam; with somewhere near a million members, this amounted to an enormous revenue, one which funded Elijah’s lavish lifestyle.
The so-called “Messenger of God” Elijah lived in his Chicago Palace, drove around in luxurious cars, and owned his own private Lockheed executive jet. He owned two mansions, one which had 19 bedrooms and another which had 17. He wore a jewel-studded fez worth over $150,000, and he died with an estate worth an estimated 20 million dollars. [ref] His heirs fought over the 5.7 million dollars of cold hard cash that Elijah left in his personal bank account.
Louis Farrakhan
This tradition of pomp and extravagance continued with Louis Farrakhan, who lives in an “opulent mansion of marble and limestone.” [ref] He has another palace in Phoenix, a Mexican villa, and a 77-acre Michigan estate. Farrakhan owns an impressive fleet of high-end luxury cars, including two Bentleys with a net worth just shy of a million dollars, a Hummer, Lexus, Mercedes, Rolls Royce, and Lincoln Town cars. And of course he dresses in designer suits made from the top brands. He has over 1.5 million dollars in unpaid back taxes.
Farrakhan has not earned one cent of this: all of it comes from his gullible black followers, in the form of registration and vendor fees, as well as profits from selling newspapers, books, DVDs, audio tapes, and memorabilia from an online store. Farrakhan has a 900 number, which charges $3.99 per minute, and was used to register those who marched in the million man march; each phone call takes at least three minutes (i.e. to register), meaning a projected profit of 12 million dollars if everyone registered at that march alone. But most importantly, there is the aggressive ad campaign asking for donations to the ironically named “No.2 Poor Treasury” which goes straight to Farrakhan’s coffers.
Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah [s]
Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah was humble and simple. Although he was God’s Messenger and the leader of a regional power, he worked alongside the ordinary laborers, he mended his own shoes, milked cows, swept the house, and fed the camels. He never wore extravagant clothes or expensive jewelry. Instead, he wore old, simple, and rough clothes. He did not ride around in expensive horses, and was even known to ride on a donkey! He would eat very simple meals, and he would oftentimes go to sleep without food, tying rocks to his stomach in order to ward off pangs of hunger.
Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah slept on such a hard surface that it left welts on his body. One of the Prophet’s Companions said to him: “O Prophet of Allah! If you command us, we could get you a soft mattress to sleep on.” The Prophet refused and said: “What connection have I got with this world? My connection with this world is similar to that of a traveler who takes shade for a short while under a tree, then leaves it and continues his journey (i.e. towards the Hereafter).”
What wealth he had, Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah would give it as charity to the poor. He forbade people from standing up when he entered into a room (as was common at the time for monarchs, judges, etc), he shunned excessive praise, and he used to serve food to his guests, something unheard of for leaders of great nations. On journeys, he would go to collect wood just as everyone else would; when his followers would ask to do it for him, he would reply: “I know you could do it for me, but I hate to have any privilege over you.”
Non-Muslim ambassadors would have a hard time telling who the leader of the nation was, because he used to dress and carry himself so simply. Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah refused to declare himself King of men, but instead chose to be Slave of Allah. Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah used to pray to God:
“O Allah, grant me life as a poor person, cause me to die as a poor person and resurrect me in the company of the poor.” (Sunan al-Tirmidhi)
On his deathbed, Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah, the Commander of the Faithful, had only seven dinars (coins) in his pockets, which he hurriedly distributed amongst the poor so that he could die literally penniless; this was born out of his fear of being held accountable in the Court of Allah for abusing wealth. In the end, the greatest leader of history died without having enough money to pay for his own funeral, and his family had to pawn his shield to cover of the cost a proper burial.
How different was our noble Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah from W.D. Fard, Elijah Poole, and Louis Farrakhan? All three of these frauds used the Nation of Islam to enrich themselves; each and every one of them was broke before joining the Nation, yet soon thereafter they became millionaires living in mansions and driving around in luxury cars. Compare the life of Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah—who did not even die with his measly 7 dinars (coins)—with Elijah Poole, who died with a 20 million dollar fortune; indeed, Elijah will be held to account on the Day of Judgment for each and every one of those dollars! This pomp and extravagance is a proof of the falseness in the Nation of Islam’s leadership; it is unthinkable that a true Messenger of God would use his mission in order to enrich himself.
