The "Praising the Beloved (saw)" thread
Imam Busayri (ra) says in his Qaseeda:
“Leave what the Christians claim about their Prophet. Then decide and say what you wish in praise of him (Allah bless him & give him eternal peace).”

P.S. Please don't post here if you don't like the thread or consider it shirk to praise the Prophet of Allah (saw).

"The Assembly of the Universe was first convened
You were then presented onto its stage
O leader of the first and the last! There is no being like unto you.
O Mustafa Mujtaba! Praising you is beyond my capability
My heart is too cowardly and my lips too fearful."

"Beauty itself boasts about the beauty of the Messenger (saw)
The beauty of galaxies is only the dust of your feet
O Caravan of the desirous! Walk barefoot towards Madinah
The thorns on your way are softer than flowers."

salam,
What the Christians say about Prophet 'Isa (that he is son of God) is not the only form of Shirk.
Imam Busayri is inviting you to commit idolatry with his obviously deviant advice.

Allahuma salli 'ala sayyidina Muhammed wa 'ala aalihi wa as-haabihi.
May Allah grant me and the rest of the Muslimin shifa'a at the hands of our Beloved, our Guide, our Leader, our Master, Muhammed on the Day of Reckoning. Ameen.

Re: The "Praising the Beloved (saw)" thread
He (S) was abdullahi wa rasooluhu, khayrul-ibaad (the best of worshippers). He was a true 'Abd and that is the best thing to be.
Prophethood is over, so all we can aspire to is Uboodiyyah (slavehood to Allah).

Re: The "Praising the Beloved (saw)" thread
I have heard it said that the Prophet was a Man among other men, as a Ruby is a stone among other stones.

Yes subhanAllah. I believe it was the Poet of the Prophet, Hassan ibn Thabit (ra), who wrote that.
-- edit here is the poem in its entirety
Qasida
Attributed to Hassan Ibn Thabit (ra)
When I saw his light shining forth,
In fear I covered my eyes with my palms,
Afraid for my sight because of the beauty of his form.
So I was scarcely able to look at him at all.
The lights from his light are drowned in his light
and his faces shines out like the sun and moon in one.
A spirit of light lodged in a body like the moon,
a mantle made up of brilliant shining stars.
I bore it until I could bear it no longer.
I found the taste of patience to be like bitter aloes.
I could find no remedy to bring me relief
other than delighting in the sight of the one I love.
Even if he had not brought any clear signs with him,
the sight of him would dispense with the need for them.
Muhammad is a human being but not like other human beings.
Rather he is a flawless diamond and the rest of mankind is just stones.
Blessings be on him so that perhaps Allah may have mercy on us
on that burning Day when the Fire is roaring forth its sparks.
