Imam Shams al-Din al-Dimashqi (ra) writes:

If an unbeliever, condemned by the Quran to eternal pain,
Can be relieved every Monday through his joy at Ahmad,
Then what must a true servant of God hope to gain,
When with the truth of Tawhid he felt joy at Ahmad!!

Hadrat Ali (karamAllahi wajh) stated:

Whoever laid but a glance upon the Messenger was awestruck;
whoever looked upon him repeatedly was drowned in love and said in praise:
‘I have neither seen anything so awesome before nor will I see the like again!!’

Allahumma salle ala sayyidina muhammed wa aali sayyidina muhammed.

Ibn abidin (ra) writes:

His miracles manifest, long ere he was sent
So obvious they were, to blind they were cogent.

A lizard spake to him, for him the wood hath wept;
The moon hath split in two – on his command accept.

The sun had set, but yet: the day he did restore
A pray'r from his lips, and clouds began to pour

The salaf's love for Rasulullah (sallAllahu alaihi wa aalihi wasallam)

Thabit al-Bunani related that he used to go to Anas Ibn Malik (ra), kiss his hands, and say: "These are hands that touched the Prophet (saw)."
He would (also) kiss his eyes and say: "These are eyes that saw the Prophet."

`Abd al-Rahman ibn Razin related that one of the Companions, Salama ibn al-Aku`, raised his hands before a group of people and said: "With these very hands I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah," upon hearing which, all who were present got up and went to kiss his hand.

A Poem on Prophet Muhammad (s.a.a.w.) by Allama Iqbal

He slept on a mat of rushes,
But the crown of Chosroes lay beneath the feet of his followers;
He chose the nightly solitude of Mount Hira,
And founded a nation, law and government;
He passed his nights with sleepless eyes,
That his Millet might sleep on Chosroes throne
In the hour of battle, iron was melted by the flash of his sword.
At prayer time, tears fell like drops of rain from his eyes.
In his prayer for Divine help, his Amen' was a sword,
Which extirpated the lineage of kings.
He inaugurated a new Order in the world,
He brought the empires old to an end:
In his sight the high and the low were one,
He sat with the slave at table one;
He burnt clear the distinctions of birth and clan.
His fire consumed all this trash and bran.

P.S. Please don't post here if you don't like the thread or consider it shirk to praise the Prophet of Allah (saw).
Why would it be Shirk to praise him (saw)?
