I've also read the book this is based on. I enjoyed it but I'm not familiar with the fossil record other than what Yahya talks about.

Where were you guys when I had my creationist thread up?... it would've been the most controversial thread since the crash.
Anyway, here are a couple of examples of transitional fossils:
Archaeopteryx
Tiktaalik
They exist and they're documented, I don't know why people are saying "there hasn't been a single example found of a transitional fossil" Check out the history of our own tailbone too.

Omg! Dude, I just saw this exact fossil in the Natural History Museum today! Are there like loads of them or is this a picture of the one in the Natural History Museum in London?

I may have mentioned this before, but I have been reliably informed by a Hindu, that some Christians do not believe dinosaurs existed, despite the fossils.

It's true. Most of the Christians I grew up with didn't believe in dinosaurs or any such thing. They believe (and I kid you not) that the earth is 5,000 years old, and that it was created with all the fossils and everything. It's a test of faith you see, the fossils and all that were created by God to confuse you and test your faith. If you look at the fossil record one would plainly believe in Evolution, since the evidence is plain as day. However, Evolution is in direct contradition with the Bible, which is the literal word of God, and so should take precedence over physical evidence.
I'm really not making this up. Not all Christians are strict creationists, but this is a common argument for those who are. |

I've been told by evangelicals that Dinosaurs aren't real..if thats the case what are those huge things in the Museum? Ancient jigsaw puzzles?

Do you people really read Harun Yahya before you pass judgement on his views? Apparently you don't.
Nevertheless, I believe that some creationists, among them being Harun Yahya, are wrong that there was no evolution. There was a kind of it. But it could not and did not emanate from random mutations but rather from consciously placed genetic information. But the materialistic philosophical assumption is that God cannot be allowed to exist and therefore we cannot accept that the new genetic info was consciously placed.
