No. She was not immodestly dressed, although her makeup was probably a bit heavy for my taste. Then again, we don't know where she was going. It might have been appropriate for a party with her girlfriends. But probably not a good idea to slap on all that warpaint if she was just going to school or the mall.

Her hijab was also half off with a lot of hair showing.. She looked a bit like pics we see of Iranian women who rebel against the rule by dressing a certain way. There was nothing wrong with her shirt at the end, I dunno what they're talking about...and also people forget the kohl is a sunnah and Muslim women in the Prophet's (saw) time used to wear it.

There are flaws in these videos but overall I think they send a good message.

Also, to all the guys: Look up "Me and the Mosque," it's a documentary by a Muslim woman who wants to uncover the hidden prejudice against women in the Muslim community, a prejudice manifested by separate prayer rooms, heavy dividers and other things. There's a full version on google video and partial on youtube.

The video makes a good point. You men should not be thinking we wear hijab just to help you lower your gaze, you should be able to do that and control yourself even if a half naked woman walks past. Learn to control yourselves, women are not a disease to be hidden away in public and in the mosques. Hijab is for a lot of reasons and in my opinion any woman that thinks she is wearing hijab to help men with their temptations is fooling herself and doesn't know the real meaning of hijab

The mosque here at my uni is awesome. There's a separate room but most women dont pray in there, we pray behind the men in the main hall which IS large enough to accomodate everyone. It's sunnah and it's awesome alhamdulillah and women who dont like it have the option of praying in the separate room. My friend who has been here longer than me told me once they put up a barrier in the back part of the main hall to section off the women. When everyone came to Jumu'ah that week the barrier was lying in a ditch down the street from the mosque

I saw this video a couple of weeks ago. I appreciate the reminder that I ultimately believe the participants wished to illustrate—ALLAHU'AALAAM.

On the unfortunate side all participants [of said video], whether directly or indirectly, participated in the fitnah in order to illustrate the point–a more extreme example can be a video against the idea of going to night clubs explained by going to a night club.
