good scholars to follow

i am back in the fold of islam(alhumdullillah) but i need to learn more from a scholar. even if i just read articles, learning is needed.

so what are some good scholars that you know of? i dont care if they are salafi or sufi, just as long as they are sunni. i want to look into them and see if they are decent.

sh. nuh keller (articles on Mas'ud Ahmed Khan's Home Page)
sh. habib ali jifri (book, "wayfarers to God")
sh. abdul hakim jackson
imam anwar al-awlaki (you can find his speeches everywhere)

In terms of fiqh, I would say Mufti Taqi Usmani.

In terms of aqeedah, I would say Shaykh Ninowy.

In terms of the history of the Sahabah, Imam Anwar al Awlaki.

In terms of Aqeedah, I would highly recommend Yasir Qadhi. No one in North America had more impact on me than Shaykh Yasir - he is one of the most eloquent english speakers out there and he has knowledge to back it up. Anwar Al-Awlaki is also one of the best, a great historian and a powerful speaker. Other good scholars/speakers to listen to:

- Ali At-Tamimi
- Bilal Philips
- Yusuf Estes
- Khalid Yasin
- Muhammad AlShareef
- Yasir Birjas
- Safi Khan
- Jamal Zarabozo
- Waleed Basyouni

And if you keen on taking Islamic classes, then I would highly recommend AlMaghrib Institute.

You can also listen to recordings of shaykh Nuh's suhbas at the Shadhili Tariqa Website
