Some Orthodox Jews still include the sucking of blood as part of the ritual. However, very few mohels these days will actually use their mouths directly on the baby. Almost all of them use a glass tube, as recommended by the Rabbinical Council of America. Many less orthodox sects will just use a sponge.

As to why it's not sexual abuse - well, it's done as part of an essentially medical procedure, with parental consent. Just like a pelvic exam done appropriately isn't sexual abuse. Intent, consent, and purpose are key.

Umm, just to clarify, I'm still pro male circumcision and anti-FGM. However, if I have any sons, they will be done by a pediatric urologist or someone else who really knows what they're doing, not by any random fool. And I will be present for the procedure.
