Oh yeah, I forgot me and my contemporaries are responsible for the sins of prior generations. Please accept my apologies on their behalf.
Actually though, you just proved my point. In the current state of affairs, men and women have been set up to be in opposition to one another, to mistrust one another, and to blame each other for their own state of affairs. We have to take responsibility for our own situations. It's not the men's fault that women of today are suffering. Women need to let go of this baggage, and embrace men (metaphorically) as partners and cooperating parties.
On the other hand, recently undertaken research proves that all the problems of men, are caused by women. So in this case, we have to accept that women are the culprits and therefore need to be taken into hand for their own sakes, otherwise they will end up destroying the world as we know it, and what kind of future will we leave for our children. We have to think of our children. And for that reason, and that reason alone, there is no doubt that girls have cooties.

ahem. as an example, take the invention of the word GAYJAY. men have somehow been conditioned to think it is OKAY to bully women and steal their WELL EARNED credit for thinking up and inventing awesome things
I BET AMERICA WAS FOUNDEDEDED BY A GIRL and no one really knows it yet because a bullyman took credit for it instead

Re: Polygyny
Trent: So I take it you believe in kharma then? Anyway, I think women have things handed to them in a silver platter, especially when they are pretty. Schools are designed around their learning capabilities, not men, and lets be honest, if a beautiful woman and a guy were applying for a job, if the boss was a male or lesbian he/she would totally swing towards hiring the pretty lady. Pretty soon women are going to run everything!!!!
Maybe that is becoming the case now, as I have already said, but that certainly wasn't the case even a couple generations back. Though even now, women aren't paid equally to a man for the same job and that's not even taking into account what's going on worldwide outside of the West. And did you see that list Bruinrab posted in the other thread about, I think, the most powerful women of the world? Not for nothing, but they weren't all a bucket of pretty.
JaminJ: Oh yeah, I forgot me and my contemporaries are responsible for the sins of prior generations. Please accept my apologies on their behalf.
Men have oppressed women throughout all of history. What did you honestly expect to happen? That it would forever continue? How is it the fault of women that they have been the victims of oppression for centuries? From being blamed for Adams sin, to being considered inferior to men, to not having legal rights, to not having the right to an education, to being buried alive, to having to request permission to leave their home, to being married before even hitting a double digit, to not be allowed to divorce, to not being allowed to talk to men outside their clan, to being the victims of honor killings, etc. etc. etc.- I mean c'mon. The list of atrocities committed against women is absurdly long.
True, it's not a pleasant thought of an entire gender becoming close to extinction, if not extinct, but I'm not going to sit here and front like I didn't see it coming. Again, you reap what you sow. Do your Hadith's not speak of the drastic outnumbering that will occur?
Girls have cooties because they contracted it from men, and hence all men are evil because they are cootie carriers.

I wasn't connecting the two... I thought I mentioned that. Nor was I really taking anything to heart.
I grew up being conditioned to believe in monogamous marriage, and for a variety of reasons (which I didn't bring up here), it's not something that I'd want for myself or my society. But I already said I don't particuarly have strong feelings on the matter if a group wants to practice polygyny, or polyandry, or poly whatever.

Why are you even reading the oppinions of women? You should have all the Islamica women on Ignore so that the only thing you read are men's opinions/posts, unless for some reason you lose grip on your sanity and choose to read the posts of the fairer sex.
Here I thought you were tough and manly. You're loosing your nerve.
