Special moments-Imam Suhaib Webb
Quote:
Asalamu alaykum,
Today I had a number of things to take care of in the old area of Cairo behind my school. As I was walking I came across one of my classmates. Like the sun his face blazed and his Azhari cap and gown only added to his regalness. However, underneath it all he appeared moved, shaken and a little humbled. Here is the conversation that transpired today under the hot Egyptian sun surrounded by the grit and grind of Cairo:
“Asalamu alaykum”
“Wa al-alaykum al-Salam wa rahmatullah.”
“How are you?”
“I was blessed and chosen by Allah.” [he said this with a lot of khushu and humility]
“What? What happened?”
“Today I was lucky to do something very noble al-humduliallah!”
“Okay…….”
“I was walking from the masjid and I saw this very old man struggling to carry something. I passed him and didn’t give him a second thought. Suddenly my heart became soft and I went back to him. I was scared, because of my dress, that others would make fun of me as we were headed back towards our school and all of the students would see me. However, I felt that this, very poor old man, was so tired so old and so weak that the outcome of my studies had to be different, so my heart cracked and I went back. I found him, heart beating breathing heavily, sitting on a car. I ask him if he could help me? He looked confused and by Allah I don’t know Suhaib were those words came from for, in such times, we should ask them if they need our help. My eyes swelled as I saw him and I realized, at that moment, at that place all the work that my teachers had done, all the books I’d read, all the Qur’an I’d memorized came into action and I said, with my flamboyant dress, “Can you help me by letting me carry that heavy sack for you uncle.” Then, I knew, I knew that Allah had seen, I prayed, something good in my heart. I’m a sinner Suhaib! I’m weak and do many bad things but, how lucky I was that Allah has seen something good in my heart and let me serve this man. Thus, I said, and by Allah my lips were shaking, “Please help me and let me carry it for you.” The man was not really able to understand me so I took it from him. He was shocked that I did this and said, “Maleysh ya sidi.” But I took it and we walked for around 20 minutes. By Allah ya suhaib it was so heavy I don’t know how he carried it.and he told me he was 74 years old!…..I pray ya Suhaib that Allah will lessen my burden when I meet Him as I tried to lessen the burden of one of His servants. I want you to know that all of our studies mean nothing if we are to proud, to great to be with the people, to be nice and to be loving. I pray that my understanding of this is correct ya akhi and I hope to see you soon. Please, if you talk with others about this never say my name….
“My sins are heavy…….my transgressions as well
But, my hope in Your mercy i s greater than my fear of my sins..”
asalamu alaykum”
As he walked away, my heart and mind rushed to grasp the gravity of this and, until now, I’m still scared of its implications. I ask all of you, if I’ve wronged you, treated you in the wrong way or got intoxicated with myself to ask Allah to forgive me……………

Ninjas can kill anyone they want! Ninjas cut off heads ALL the time and don't even think twice about it. These guys are so crazy and awesome that they flip out ALL the time. I heard that there was this ninja who was eating at a diner. And when some dude dropped a spoon the ninja killed the whole town. My friend Mark said that he saw a ninja totally uppercut some kid just because the kid opened a window.
