"Dhikr is the medicine of the sinners, the familiarity of the estranged (uns al-munqaTi`īn), the treasure of those who practice reliance (kanz al-mutawakkilīn), the repast of those who possess certitude (ghidhā' al-mūqinīn), the adornment of those who are connected (Hilyat al-wāSilīn), the starting-point of knowers (mabda' al-`ārifīn), the carpet of those brought near Him (biSāt al-muqarrabīn), and the intoxicant of lovers (sharāb al-muHibbīn)."
