I left the God-like glorification and praise of the Prophet Muhammad in my Salah in favour of glorifying Allah alone in my Salah. As I came from a Sunni family, glorifying the Prophet up to 20 times a day in Salah was not uncommon. Remembering Allah alone was impossible without remembering a created being, every Salah a good portion was devoted to the Prophet Muhammad.
Now I find Shia's who have made stones intercessors with Allah. Is there any limit to how much idolatry people can commit on earth? What part of the heavens and the earth did this stone create that you make it a requirement to prostrate on it? Why will none of you people glorify Allah alone, the most majestic...who sustains you and given you so much?

Yeah I kinda always wondered about that...when I first started praying, I went to a Shi'a mosque..not knowing what it was about...and these women put these stones in front of me...I kinda pushed it to the side and one of them was like uh no you need that in front of you to pray! and I was like uh wutever...but not to piss them off, I did...then tailgated it out of there. This was in Canada btw...
Anyways, I guess I've heard that these stones are from some holy place...Karbala maybe..where the Prophet's grandson Hussein was killed and supposedly his blood was staining the earth and these are why these rocks are holy ...cuz they come from this area...uh...correct me if you like...but I hear a lot of crap that's supposed to be Islamic anyways... wa salam

Before you psot please ensur eyou now what you are talking about.
The stone is made from a natural material as they believe they should pray Salat on a natural Material not unlike the Maaliki Madhaab who also beleive in resting your head on a natural material in soojood.

and what is unnatural about praying on a carpet? If that's the case, why don't they have carpets made from natural fibers? |

Whatever its beneath you is natural enough. They want to have intercessors and idols between their worship of Allah, but they are not aware of it. |

Allah does NOT NEED a stone for his servents to connect to Him. He is the Most-Great. "And say: 'Praise be to Allah who has not taken a son, nor does He have a partner in sovereignty, nor does He have an ally out of weakness.' And glorify Him greatly." (17:111) You must seek Allah directly, He does NOT NEED ANYTHING for his servents to communicate with him. Indeed, they are just like the Christians I know who call upon God through the Prophet Jesus, they do not it through stones. |

Do you worship the masjid carpet when you do sajdah? Better rip it up then. Oh, wait, but then you're "worshipping" the concrete floor. Better get a jackhammer so you get down to the dirt. There's a very significant reason why the Shia and the Malikis prostrate only on natural materials, ideally earth. It comes down to what the two sajdah symbolize. Do you know what the two sajdah symbolize, why there are two sajdah? Or did they not teach you that in Qu'ran only land? |

Doesn't have to be stone. Paper can be used too.
Aceofhearts, do you pray towards mecca? A lot of people consider that to be idolatry. |

Shia prays on stonee - idolatry What's the difference? Shias don't think stones they pray on have divine powers or are idols, it's just something we are instructed to do, like prayer itself. You really need to think your arguments through before you come up with pissy theories to attack others with. |
