Why understanding the Quran is essential ?

Have you read and understood the Quran at least once in life? What is your age now? And till now you are still unaware of the message of the Quran. How will you face Allah when the prophet will say on the Day of Judgment that these are my people who had ignored the Quran? (25:30)

The Quran is not be read by ulemmas only. It is for every one. Allah has made the Quran easy to understand. “We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? (54:32)

When we wake up in the morning we are so curious to read news as to what is happening around. We also take out time to read magazines and books and even poetry. But do we also spend time to read and know what is written in the Quran and what does it want to tell us. (47:24)

Not knowing Arabic language is no excuse as translations of the Quran are available in almost all languages (41:44). Remember it is obligatory on us to read and understand the Quran.(28:85)

Understanding the Quran will help in rediscovering Islam in its pure form which is otherwise hidden in the camouflage of various school of thoughts or attachment to some ideology. (3:19) (7:3)

From the day of its revelation to the Day of Judgment, this divine book will remain the sole guide for humanity. (18:27)

A believer who becomes aware of the importance and indispensability of the Quran to his life must have a good knowledge of the Quran so that he can conduct his entire life in line with the principles of the Quran and thus serve Allah as is due. (6:161-163)

When some one gets the desire to know about religion, he begins to search books written by various authors. Some will be content with reading of Jurisprudence topics by four Imams.(68:35-38)
But how many turn to the Quran, the Book from Allah which Allah has said contains guidance for the mankind and is easy to understand.(10:57)

When people inquire about their religion most people say that they are Muslims. However many of them have not read the Quran, the just Book of Islam, even once. (7:179).

The Quran is the revelation of Allah through which He introduces Himself and explains the real purpose of our life of this world and the next, as well as the attributes of moral perfection (10:61).

Leading a life unaware of Allah’s expectations and being satisfied with fabricated religions is not befitting to a person’s conscience and wisdom. (30:32)

Default Why do we read Quraan?

Why do we read QURAN, even if we can't understand a single Arabic word????*

This is a beautiful story*
*An old man lived on a farm in the mountains of eastern Kentucky
with his young grandson. Each morning Grandpa was up early sitting at the
ktchen table reading his QUR'AN. His grandson wanted to be just like him and tried to imitate him in every way he could.

One day the grandson asked, 'Grandpa!
I try to read the QUR'AN. Just like you but I don't understand it, and what I do
Understand I forget as soon as I close the book. What good does reading the
QUR'AN. Does?'
The Grandfather quietly turned from putting coal in the stove and
replied: 'Take this coal basket down to the river and bring me back a basket of water.

‘The boy did as he was told, but all the water leaked out before he got
back to the house.

The grandfather laughed and said, 'You'll have to move a little faster next time and sent him back to the river with the basket to try again.

This time the boy ran faster, but again the basket was empty before he returned home. Out of breath, he told his grandfather that it was impossible to carry ater in a basket, and he went to get a bucket instead.

The old man said, 'I don't want a bucket of water; I want a basket of water.

You're just not trying hard enough,' and he went out the door to watch the
boy try again. At this point, the boy knew it was impossible, but he wanted to show his grandfather that even if he ran as fast as he could, the water would Leak; out before he got back to the house.

The boy again dipped the basket into river and ran hard, but when he reached
His grandfather the basket was again empty. Out of breath, he said, 'See Grandpa, it's useless!' 'So you think it is useless?' The old man said, 'Look at the basket.

'The boy looked at the basket and for the first time realized that the basket was different.
It had been transformed from a dirty old coal basket and was now clean, inside and out.

'Son, that's what happens when you read the QUR'AN. You might not understand
or remember everything, but when you read it, you will be changed, inside
and out. That is the work of ALLAH in our lives.'** *

please forward to your friends.
Our PROPHET Hazrat MUHAMMAD (salallaho aliehi wasallam)
Says: * 'THE ONE WHO GUIDES TO GOOD WILL BE REWARDED EQUALLY'.
