Muslim men are allowed to marry christian women. but here's the catch, she has to be a practicing christian, according to Islam, not simply christian by name only, and only celebrates christmas by decorating a christmas tree and handing out gifts.

but i will agree with one thing, stay away from western christian women. with a divorce rate of 50%, and biased sexist divorced courts favoring women, you risk losing your kids, who will be raised kaffirs. dont believe me? my neighbor down the street ended up that way. today his daughter comes home at 2am in her bf's car. thats your future right there.

but this wouldnt apply to arab christians, paki christians, or indian christians, because thats a whole nother culture, and set of values right there. i should know, my mother is an indian telegu christian, and my parents have been married for over 40 years now.

there are no Christians that dont drink alcohol for religious reasons. the ones that do avoid alcohol, like some Mormons, arent considered to be Christians by mainstream Christians. there are religious Christians who dont get drunk. but there is a huge difference between drinking and not getting drunk. regardless, there arent any mainstream Christians who avoid alcohol solely for religious reasons, because its not a religious merit to avoid alcohol in Christianity.

Do you mean the Catholic friend of mine? His girlfriend wouldn't marry him because she didn't consider him a Christian. Just a religious person. She wasn't a Christian when the relationship started, but converted during it. He wouldn't follow her so that's why they broke up. So I don't think that the no touch policy would apply to him. She on the other hand, went entirely in the other direction. She wouldn't have relations with him unless they were married and she wouldn't marry him unless he converted. That was the gist of it.

I did hear somewhere about a Christian couple who didn't even kiss until they got married, waiting for their wedding night. I'll have to do a gooogle on it. So I guess they had that strict policy. when I find it I'll post it.

No. There are Christians I know of who definitely frown upon drinking alcohol such as the Baptists, Evangelicals and definitely the Pentecostals. I know the Catholics do drink, cause my buddy does. I'm pretty sure the Episcopalians don't approve of drinking either. So it's not just the Mormons. Do a google on it, there's probably more denominations out there. I think a lot of people are branded Christian on the basis that they are a white American or European etc. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, most Americans and Europeans are either atheists or agnostics, are not regular church goers and are more likely to believe in the New Age than organized religion.

My mom was telling my big brother how he can marry whoever he wants and eventually, my parents will accept it because it's his life and they can just tell themselves "This was Allah's will." BUT he should remember that he'll be very unhappy if he marries anybody non-Muslim. Or non-Pakistani. Or non-family. It's hilarious. Then she gives the example of our uncle (who was married to a Christian woman). She's all "And look at him now! What kind of a family does he have? His kids hate him. His daughter doesn't want to see him and his sons are hardly ever home and pretty soon, they'll move out too."

It's like... well, let's just conveniently ignore that he was actually very happy with his wife and family, until his wife died. And maybe the reason his kids hate him is because he married a woman who's pretty much their age, without even telling them. Then lied to them about it. Then had kids with the evil woman.

If my dad did that, I wouldn't wanna be home much either.

i know plenty of indian christians who refuse to drink for religious reasons, and you will find plenty of southern baptists who refuse to drink.

Obviously not. I don't have a boyfriend, and if I'm out that late, then my dad likes to come pick me up himself.

But what can do you, if your kid doesn't see anything wrong with having a boyfriend or girlfriend? I mean, at some point, they can make their own decisions, yeah? It's not always that the parents didn't raise them right.

And in any case, I think staying out late and having a boyfriend (or staying out late with your boyfriend) aren't the worst things in the world. What if your son comes home drunk?

I think having a boyfriend is very dangerous...just as dangerous as a drunken son or if a son had girfriend, they are both unislamic and parents should do more to instill islamic principles into thier kids.
