Death...You're last breath.
Why do we take each day as granted? Why do we act as if we will see the next day. Why do we set our alarm for the next day, why do we prepare for the next day when we don't even know whether were even going to get up? One day you're walking, breathing, talking, eating, just living life. Imagine it all gone, try to percieve death. What is it? What is the absence of life....ever known someone who you knew one day and then they are just gone. They don't EXIST any more. Death is so common amongst us that we don't realize it or stop and think what were doing and how it will affect the eternal life after it. Death is Inevitable. Imagine us dying in the state of something that our lord ALLAH(SWT) has forbidden. Imagine us drying while were commiting a vile act. Imagine us dying after arguing with our parents and recieving their curse. Imagine dying without having prayed. IMAGINE DYING AND NOT BEING ABLE TO SAY: La iLaha illalah mohammadan rasulullah. At the time of death our souls will be YANKED..pulled out of our bodies, like a piece of cotton being pulled from a piece of shattered glass, it won't be smooth for everyone. Repent, because "Every Soul Shall Taste Death"
"Say: 'Death, From which you are fleeing, will certainly catch up with you. Then you will be returned to the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible and He will inform you about what you did'
(Surat al-Juma'ah:8) "
"The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "Everyone who dies - then his actions are sealed except for the one guarding the border in the way of Allaah - his actions continue to increase for him until the Day of Resurrection and he is saved from the trials of the Grave.
[SAHEEH: Abu Dawud, at-Tirmidhee, al-Haakim: from Fadaalah ibn 'Ubaid & Ahmad from 'Uqbah ibn 'Aamir.] "
"The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "When the dead person is buried two black-blue angels come to him, one called al-Munkar and the other called an-Nakeer, and they say to him: 'What had you used to say about this man?' So he says what he used to say: 'Allaah's slave and His Messenger, I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.' So they say: 'Verily we knew that you (would) say that.' Then his grave is widened for him to the extent of seventy cubits by seventy, then it is made light for him, then it is said: ' Sleep.' So he says: 'I should go to my family and inform them.' So they say: 'Sleep as the newly married sleeps whom no-one awakes except his favourite wife.' Until Allaah raises him up from that place of sleep. And if he is a hypocrite (munaafiq), he says: 'I heard the people saying something so I said it too, I don't know.' So they say: 'We knew that you (would) say that.' So it is said to the earth: 'Crush him', so he is crushed until his cross over and he remains in the state of torture until Allaah raises him up from that resting place."
[HASAN: At-Tirmidhee from Abu Hurairah.] "
Heres two short clips from a lecture of Feiz Mohammad about Death. Im sure many of you have already seen it, but i found it very interesting and eye opening. Highly Recommend to watch.

Abu Hazim replied, “Because you have built and established this world and you have destroyed your Aakhirah, so you hate to go from what you have established to what you have destroyed.”

Me too. I reciet shahada every now and then so if I were to die for whatever reason, those would be my last words. You could walk out into the street and get hit by a car, and you would never be even able to think of shahada, much less say it. You're life would be over that quick.

Why do you question everything?
Would you like to be buried like the people of 'Aad and Thamud or be prepared to die with the recitation of Allaah's names and speech?

Re: Death...You're last breath.
Good post, m'A.
I was just thinking this the other day, when we were having a discussion about human rights and stuff: We see stories like "Mother and son murdered in home" (or whatever) on the news every single day, and sometimes we (well, I dont know if you do this, but I do) just brush it off like oh, another murder. It's become so part of daily life that we pay no attention to it.
I dunno, food for thought.

I've come close to dying and it's amazing how cold your brain can feel...and how the only thought you have is...very soon I'll be dead...I hope Allah swt will be merciful...
