today in the study room, one of the italian girl whom i met couple of days ago.. told me she found it awkward being with this asian guy in the study room while she was trying to study for one of her finals. she wished i was there with her to keep her company. i asked her why. she related to this anecdote.

this muslim boy asked her some whacked questions which included but are not limited to.. ..."arent you self conscious wearing those tight pants?" "how come you don't dress modestly?" "you look arab..so, you must be muslim".."where is your hijab?"

so far, i thought lame dawah techniques as above were all heresay. i never thought people as dumb as that exist.

My personal favorite is upon meeting someone for the first time and hearing they have some interest in Islam the person insists that they must take shahada that very instant cuz if they don't, they will be damned to hell forever. It's rather off putting.

one of the girls was informed that in order for her to become mozlem, she needs to wear a hijab. (i guess, debatable. but thats a pretty start in my opinion)..

actually..i'm on a quest to find out who he is..and i'll give him that very advice in person..but in private..regardless of how awkward it may be-..in my opinion, he needs to change his approach. he can't just dispense dawah at his own convenience..and pull wild cats out of his own pocket. while giving out wrong impression about islam and muslims in general.

i'm glad that girl spoke out. otherwise, i wouldn't have known.
