Not a fair thing to say considering they weren't being egotistical. I have to say the interviewer was probably ego-driven talking about his charity crap work.

They were very egotistical. They had a very bad attitude and spoke in a manner that made them seem like they know better than everyone else.

If you want someone to listen to you, be humble not arrogant.
