Re: Real Mt.Sinai in Saudi Arabia?
I saw a different documentary where they used the biblical proof to prove it was in egypt.

Indeed, and the archaeological evidence supports this belief as well. It also explains the lack of evidence of the exodus being in the Sinai Peninsula.

Re: Real Mt.Sinai in Saudi Arabia?
This is just nonsense cooked up by christian fundamentalists who want to make claims on Saudi Arabia the way other psycho christian fundamentalists and jewish extremists make claims on Egypt for having the real mount sinai.

dude this might be made by christians but this is not propoganda because even the muslim people living there say this is Mt.Sinai.
This brings me to another point, why dont muslim make documentries like this which are interesting?? and how come we dont have any muslim archeological teams that go to these places and publish thier findings?? Many in our muslim community have lost interest and curiosity in these historical things and thus we loose interest in the religion itself.

Which is a strange viewpoint, considering that I got it from here, and that Christian fundamentalists today, actually reject the idea.
So, we have 2 different routes of the exodus:
One of these routes seems to have archaeological evidence to support it, while the other does not. What's particularly interesting about this, is that the early Israelites (according to their own book on the exodus) prayed facing south. If the alternate exodus route through Arabia is the correct one, then that would mean that they prayed facing Mecca.

no, the fundamentalist extremists who made the video back in the 1970s SAY that the muslim people living there say that its mount sinai. Do you know for sure that they do? And even if they do say it, which they probably dont, just because some bedouins say something doesnt make it true. In fact many bedouins say alot of crazy stuff that isnt true in various places where they live. Some bedouin told me once that crows in the desert can turn into sexy women that seduce travelers. He couldve just as easily pointed at a pile of horse or camel crap or a big rock and told me it was mount sinai. Anybody can say anything they want
I think muslims do make good documentaries, they're just usually in other languages.

theres no real archeological evidence to support some theory about a mass migration of jews through saudi arabia, and the two guys who made that video are not legitimate scientists or any other kind of scientists. Its really just a matter of people believing whatever they hear without thinking about the sources or the content

actually these two didn't go there in the 70's, that was another guy named ron wyatt. These two went there less then 10 years ago. also yes as far as i know most people living in the north western part of saudi arabia beleive that this is Mt.Sinai because i my self have lived there for a while. Infact i read an article that it was muslims from the middle ages that proposed this to be the real Mt sinai. and it was christians in the 3rd century that said Mt.Sinai was in Egypt.
Also most young muslim of today dont really care about history, that's why they have lost touch with thier own hertiage. Thats why i said we need more interesting documentaries like this made by muslims.

the saudis dont want christians going up there to pray
the stuff about the cattle is nonsense, did you see the pictures? They couldve been bulls, cows, sheep, horses, goats, or basically any other animal that has 4 legs. There was nothing 'egyptian' about the drawings, they were just white outlines of people and animals. Yet somehow that led them to make the unquestionable conclusion that this spot "must have been" the site of the golden calf... come on.. These guys are full of crap, they just interpret random stuff however they feel like it without applying any systematic or scientific rigor to what they are doing. Therefore they can find mount sinai in Saudi Arabia, Kansas, Australia, or wherever else they look for it.
This is about American evangelical ideology, not archaelogy
