What does your community do thats unique and different from other muslim communities during ramadan?
I live near the MCA in the Bayarea in California. Every year during the last 15 days, the shaikh who does taraweeh also does Qiyam during the night and recites the whole Qur'an during the last 15 days.
All the lights are off in the masjid except for a few isolated ones so it's easy to concentrate on Salah. He takes about a Half an hour to do two Rakahs and 8 rakahs in total per day. All the old people there are used to it, and us young uns need to take breaks every couple of rakahs to rest our feet
The shaikh ends leaving about half an hour for Sahoor, which about 60 people attend. Sahoor usually has tastier food than our community Iftars hehe
