As-Salaamu 'Alaykum Wa Rahmatullaah,
Perhaps you should go to this thread and read the Commitment portion. Dont worry, it includes (in some way) your resolution as well.

Re: What is your Ramadan Resolution?
To try to be as disciplined of a Muslim as I am during Ramadan after Ramadan.

Re: What is your Ramadan Resolution?
Okay, so last Ramadan, our MSA did this thing where we all write our Ramadan Resolutions on a big board and display it for the world to see (in the prayer room, at least)... you know, to hopefully inspire everybody. Much like this thread.
The one on the girls' side all said good things like "Pray all my Sunnah", "Hold my tongue", "Read Qur'an and reflect", "Be good to my parents", "Be patient", etc.
The one on the boys' side had some random comments, like "Stop cheating on exams", "Stop having pre-marital sex", etc.
So then I told some of my friends and they were like "Why were you on the boys' side?"

Those are important resolutions for the boys, don't hate.
Either that or the girls were too shy to put their really bad reslutions on the board (I hope not)
I also illustrates how easy it is for boys in this society to do haram things. They don't wear hijabs to remind them that they are Muslim. Especially for boys born and raised in the society, it must be difficult to refrain from those haram actions.

I think the double standard for males cuts across societies. I don't see how it's harder for men here to refrain from haram activities than for women - that's just making excuses for them which contribute to the double standard.

Re: What is your Ramadan Resolution?
Men in general are pretty much expected to have premaritial sex and not looked down at for it, on the contrary, they're congratulated and made to feel they are 'real men' for sleeping with lots of girls and looked down on for avoiding it, whereas women tend to be treated like prostitutes for it.
I hope they're fulfilling their resolutions. ^^;;
Mine is to get to praying the daily five prayers in their correct times.
And to kick art and drawing, but that's pretty much done with, alhamdulilLah. ^^
I need to hold my tongue and get some hayah. xD;

Honestly, I didn't know it was the boys' side. Well, like, I did, but their bristol board was posted on the divider... it was just the area at the side. I figured it's a free-for-all and I was just standing there to read the board, as that is where a lot of the announcements and stuff get posted. *shrug*
Anyway, my friends said that they probably just wrote all that stuff up for jokes.
