GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (June 29) - A Mickey Mouse lookalike who preached Islamic domination on a Hamas-affiliated children's television program was beaten to death in the show's final episode Friday.

In the final skit, "Farfour" was killed by an actor posing as an Israeli official trying to buy Farfour's land. At one point, the mouse called the Israeli a "terrorist."

"Farfour was martyred while defending his land," said Sara, the teen presenter. He was killed "by the killers of children," she added.

The weekly show, featuring a giant black-and-white rodent with a high-pitched voice, had attracted worldwide attention because the character urged Palestinian children to fight Israel. It was broadcast on Hamas-affiliated Al Aqsa TV.

Station officials said Friday that Farfour was taken off the air to make room for new programs. Station manager Mohammed Bilal said he did not know what would be shown instead.

Israeli officials have denounced the program, "Tomorrow's Pioneers," as incendiary and outrageous. The program was also opposed by the state-run Palestinian Broadcasting Corp., which is controlled by Fatah, Hamas' rival.

christians and jews under islam? just whose side are you on kona? using anti-islam propaganda.

you know when i was a kid there was a shop selling halloween costumes. there was a mask of an evil looking man, when i asked the shop keeper what is that supposed to be she replied 'an arab'. talk about brainwashing children.

Anti-Islam Propaganda??? Did you see the videos? If there's anyone doing any propaganda in the original post, it is the Islamists. Though I am not going to deny that non-Muslims don't do the same.

I saw the video and I'm pretty darned sure it was an Israeli settler who killed poor farfour.

That is the first, and hopefully the only time, I've ever seen a Muslim use the word "Islamist" to refer to other Muslims. That, combined with some of the stuff you post seriously brings some questions to mind.

I'm not sure if you can call every Ahmed, Saeed and Khalid a "Muslim". Just coz they have Muslim-sounding names doesn't make'em one, no?

Oh, and Kona is not a Muslim name, I promise.

I think you misunderstood my point bro. This "Kona" claims to be Muslim. I understand an Arab name does not equal being a Muslim. What I'm referring to is the fact that this man, who says he's Muslim, is referring to other Muslims as "Islamists". It is the first time I've ever seen this. What, pray tell, is an "Islamist" exactly?

I was just being sarcastic.

Of course I'm in no position to judge someone's deen; that's for Allah (swt) to do. But we know what a munafiq is. You can tell a munafiq from their posts, too.

How is it hateful if it is the truth?

Do the Israelis not kill children?
Do they not destroy homes?
Do the Israelis not want Palestine?
Do they not want to rid the area of all Palestinians?

If there is any hate, it is from the Israeli side. It was not the Palestinians that decided to wake up one shiny morning and migrate to another country and kick the people of that out, left with nothing.
