I didn't know that.
You're partly wrong about the first one, it's haram for sunnis but only makruh if you're a shia. Lucky me I guess.

Lacking one seems to put the other one into overdrive.

You better be talking about the SECOND one there, because the first one is explicitely haram in the Quran. If you are talking about the first one, then you are sick, because that's just wrong

salam,
Verse 2:222 prohibits intercourse with women during their menses. This is the only prohibition in the Qur'an with regards to intimacy between husband and wife.

Re: Sex therapist to the Muslim World
There are actually three things, the one ameen mentioned, and two others. They are all really gross things, so I don't think I should explain any of them to you.

Re: Sex therapist to the Muslim World
i didnt read all of the posts in the thread (i got extremely annoyed by some of you so i stopped)
and i dont care how immature or vulgar i sound, but those that are firmly believe you shouldnt look at your spouses privates are absolutely ridiculous. this is why i have so much trouble with islam these days.
and i dont care if im coming off as a feminist, but this whole not looking thing reduces the pleasure a woman can have during intercourse. men always (or almost always) orgasm during intercourse, WOMEN DO NOT. most women only get pleasure from oral sex, which cant really be done with your eyes closed? how fair is that?
stupid thread. reading crap like this is why i rarely EVER come here anymore. you all suck.
Ramadan kareem by the way

Re: Sex therapist to the Muslim World
Figures the ignoramus would start up with Shia bashing.
ameen: Verse 2:222 prohibits intercourse with women during their menses. This is the only prohibition in the Qur'an with regards to intimacy between husband and wife.
Lol, that proves to be highly controversial.
heba: most women only get pleasure from oral sex, which cant really be done with your eyes closed? how fair is that?
Some would argue that it shouldn't be done at all.

The only thing controversial about ameens post was the statement that it's the only prohibition mentioned in the Quran. There is another implied prohibition, but you have to really understand linguistics to get that one. If he thinks the other thing is allowed, then that's totally gross too, and I would say he's a pervert. Nasty
About heba's post, sure people argue, but it's more a matter of arguing whether it's allowed but disliked or some such. I personally think it's disgusting, but I haven't read anywhere that it's outright haram.

Re: Sex therapist to the Muslim World
Asallamu 'alaikum wa rahmatulLahi wa barakatuh
Women can get pleasure from something besides oral sex, but most normal woman can't derive much physical pleasure from the vagina.
And the Quran forbids sodomy (that goes for heterosexuals as well, but it differs with Shi'a apparantly) as well as sex during menses. And what's the other thing that's making you all throw up? ^^; Or is it the afore-mentioned oral sex.
Also, for those who are shying away from the subject, la haya fil-deen.
Be frank, but not vulgar. Mm'kay?
This topic has been derailed. Funny how it was supposed to end at page twelve, yet kept going onto fifteen pages.
I naively thought you were all discussing the article all this time.

Setting aside personal views, yours and mine, why is it that sex during a woman's menses was clearly prohibited in the Qur'an but anal sex, something that is gravely loathed by Muslims, was not? Instead the alleged prohibition of it is not specific but solely "implied"?
Don't call me a pervert, I'm just asking.
Musashi: Women can get pleasure from something besides oral sex, but most normal woman can't derive much physical pleasure from the vagina.
I'm confused, lol.

Was sodomy not clearly phrohibited? I need to find that verse again, because I thought it was more than simply implied.
Difficult to explain, but there was a study a while back that seemed to say that they can't really feel as much through the vagina itself.

Different experiences for different women. However, I was more confused over you saying that there are other pleasures besides oral sex but then saying that some don't seem to receive pleasure from the vagina.

Just saying, but oral sex does pleasure more, but there's other ways.
And that's why I said most, not all. I was talking from a strictly physical sense, not emotional or anything else or about all people.
Like most people dislike pain at all times... But I'm dropping the subject now. ^^;;
