I have no idea why Muslims think that just calling themself "muslim" makes them a "chosen people" who have the right to lord moral superiority over everyone else. In the end, calling oneself a "muslim" is just a conceit, nothing more. It doesn't make your average person a better person, and I'll wager that the people who actually *are* superior don't go around telling everyone else so. Calling yourself a muslim certainly doesn't bring you any closer to God, and there is no way for any mortal to know how much closer they are to God than another human being.
It never ceases to amaze how easy it is for people to recognize the nastiness of cultural or ethnic supremacism in others, and how difficult it is for them to care when their own people are committing it.

Before I attack this..
I have to ask, are you muslim???

Yes it does, because what you said has nothing to do what I posted.
If your are muslim I would've brought up Al-Mustaqim.
If you are not, then I would refer to Shahada.
And because if you are muslim that last post was kinda out there...
I want to know If I should come to you as a brother.
Or as 'One of the chosen people of God'.

You are a true fitnah-starter. I hope you get your punishment or that Allaah guides you and forgives you.

Re: Sex therapist to the Muslim World
Yay Ramadan is here everyone. Sooooo I thought this would be a fitting end to a topic that caused a lot of people to act in a most undignified manner. Not that I'm anymore dignified than ya'll... but Ramadan is here and what not...
Sooooo

Good.
I cannot believe how some of the young Muslimahs have spoken here.
No wonder Muslim parents nowadays are worried about raising their kids in the West.

Moral Superiority is null and void.
The point was they have different morals.
Her being Muslim id est Submitter[to Allah(SWT)]
Him being a KFR id est Disbeliever[Not a muslim]
In the end, calling oneself a "muslim" is just a conceit, nothing more.
How so? How would proclaiming yourself a submitter to the will of god make you conceited?
Wouldn't doing this and shahada do nothing more than increase taqwa and make you a better muslim?
It doesn't make your average person a better person,
As a revert I'd have to disagree....
Islam has made me a better person, in my own eyes of course...
As a human being I lack the ability to think like others.
and I'll wager that the people who actually *are* superior don't go around tellin | |
