The man appealed after a state district judge in Bernalillo County refused his request to change his name to "F--- Censorship!"
Judge Nan Nash ruled that the proposed name change was "obscene, offensive and would not comport with common decency."
The man — whose current legal name is Variable — argued on appeal that it was improper government censorship to deny him the name change.
 got a laugh out of that.

What people will do for some time in the lime light (whys it called lime light anywho). Ya screw the names your parents adorned you with lets change it to something I can have a laugh with. Imagine how hard it'd be to get a job with that name, or when you die.

I did too. I dunno if Variable's that guy's real name or even that he was from New Mexico, but I only know (or know of) two Variables and he's one of them. And he seems like he'd be against censorship. It was just a random thought I had.
