But aren't you judging her unfairly?

If the hijab is forced on her, and if she's not really practicing, then why refer to her as a hijabi Muslim girl acting like that thing. She's not really a hijabi, first of all, because hijab is more than just the headscarf. And I don't want to comment on whether or not she's a Muslim, Allah knows best. But I think it is best not to judge. Don't lose your hasanat over someone you don't know and don't care to know.

I don't think it does. She could be slutty without having a boyfriend. And the fact that she has a boyfriend, presumably means she doesn't mess around with other guys. Therefore, suggesting that she is not in fact slutty.

I dont know why you're assuming that she would be monogamous, but as far as i'm concerned, when a muslim girl has a boyfriend who happens to be a non-muslim and frequently makes out with him in public, she fits the criteria for slutdom. I'm not going to bury her in a hole and throw rocks at her head or pull out a sword or a gun and attack her, what some girl does with her boyfriend is their business and not mine. But just like they're free to do it, i'm free to have my opinions on it.

Whether the guy was a Muslim or not doesn't make a difference. What's 7araam is 7araam.

There's a hadith: la yazni al zaani 7een yazni wa huwa mu2min.

It really doesn't make a difference. Which is why Allah (swt) says: the zaani should only marry a zaaniya or a mushrikah. All the same!

None of us are privy to what two people do behind closed doors.

The fact that she *is* with a man/has a boyfriend and is having a physical relationship with him, is troublesome enough though from an Islamic perspective. Aint like they're merely holding hands or playing Monopoly.

But in the heat of the moment, I'm sure the last thing they're thinking of is "Oops, Allah is watching us."

Can't believe it but I almost agree with you.

But you make two errors:

Firstly it doesn't matter if her boyfriend is a Muslim or not. Either way, she's succumbed to the whisper of Shaitaans and indulging in a physical relationship with a man. That's wrong. Allah swt clearly says so in the Qur'an. Period. The severity of her sin isn't lessened by him being a believer or a non-believer.

And secondly it's not about 'slutdom' [whatever that means]. Put simply, the sister has no Haya or very little of it. It's bad enough to sin in private, but we know that what Allah swt hates more is the sinner who does it publicly or who proclaims it to all.

Yeah, you're right in pointing out that we don't know all the facts. I was just suggesting that the little information that MossadC had provided us with didn't prove that the girl was "slutty". If MossadC has other information that we're not privy to, then that's something else.

I think sometimes we're too quick to point the finger of sexual immorality at our sisters, but don't apply the same standards to our brothers. If it had been a brother who was dating or appeared to be dating someone, I don't think terms attacking the brother's sexual morals would be used.

I'm not saying that we should start slagging off the brothers to make it even, but rather the opposite - let's withhold judgement.

And you never know, they might be into Monopoly.
