Pakistan hands over four militants to Iran

xTEHRAN: Pakistan has handed over to Iran four Iranian militants, including the brother of a militant group's leader in the restive southeastern Iran, the state media reported on Saturday.

The handover took place as part of a security pact between Iran and Pakistan, which borders the Sistan-Balochistan province in southeastern Iran, the state television said.

Abdolhamid Rigi, the brother of Abdolmalek Rigi, ringleader of the shadowy Jundallah group, was handed over to Iran on Friday night, the official IRNA news agency said.

"Rigi had been jailed in Quetta, Pakistan, over the past year," IRNA said, adding that he had sought to present himself, along with 15 others, as Pakistani nationals.

"But he was handed over after officials presented evidence that these people are to be prosecuted in Iran," it said.

Doesn't the US support Jundullah (which is incidentally, a terrorist organization)

Yeah, there was a news story on this. [I think it was also posted on Islamica]. The U.S didn't want Pakistan to give up the group members to Iran. The group Jundullah were apparantly backed and supported by the U.S and spies. The lengths they will go to.

I think Pakistan has just given its response to the attack on its army..
