We're all glad to know that you and your had a wonderful time under the Taliban. Many people, however, did not have that great a time under the Taliban. Sometimes your posts seem to negate other peoples suffering, which was in fact very real.

That's not quite fair either. Certainly some of the Taliban realy believed in what they were doing and really were trying to improve the lot of every day Afghani's. For a time, they achieved that goal. I'm not sure what happened to turn things into a nightmare, but the Taliban certainly had their moment. I don't know, maybe all the good Taliban got killed by the Northern Alliance.

The only thing they seemed to be saying about the Taliban, is that they weren't as strict as they originally were. Given that they were willing and eager to have their pictures taken, I think that goes without saying. I'm not sure what's "BS" about that. |
