I just felt the need to inform you that your hijab, even though it technically meets the requirements for modest dress, is totally haram since it doesn't meet zeyneddine's color code requirements. Your clothing shows too much personality, and individuality, and we can't have any of that.

I didn't say they dressed like fisherman. I said some people want women to look awful in the name of "modesty".

sequins are haram on headscarves? lol. Sequins really don't make a person stand out, everyone wears bright colours and embellished clothing so i wouldnt agree that you could call it 'haram' because it attracts attention...cos it doesnt.

no one here declared sequins to be haraam sister.
the question posed is: "why would a modest sister have the need to wear flashy hijabs", and sequined or brightly patterned hijabs would be a form of flashy hijabs. If as you say, it doesnt attract attention (to which I differ), why the need to have them instead of a single sober colored hijab? Are muslimahs wearing hijabs as a fashion accessory or as a symbol of modest dressing as prescribed by religion?

No disrespect or offense to the sisters who did, but I suspect that those who didnt either have lack of self-confidence or choose to be modest about their appearance, even with a hijab on.
