I think they're both products of today's society. He believes it's okay to treat women like dirt, she thinks it's cool to dig a guy who treats women like dirt. These kind of things happen all the time, although on much smaller scale.

There are plenty of dance acts on-stage in the hip-hop / R&B scene that simulate sex and rape scenes, and it is done with consent of all parties involved. And its nothing new either, when I was in highschool over ten years ago they were doing it in the talent shows, and it just went mainstream from there and you can see it plenty of music videos nowadays.

The girl clearly didn't look like she was protesting or trying to stop it.
