Re: 10,000 killed in Burmese cyclone
So France trying to get the UN to force Myanmar to accept aid - I'm interested to see how that would manifest.

Re: 10,000 killed in Burmese cyclone
from whats going on, it seems like the entire country's food supply's disrupted.
Rice godowns and tankers carrying rice were wiped out...and the area affected is the main rice plantation. so u can guess where i'm going...

Yes, indeed, but i said that in context of non-muslims...

You're distantly related to a lot of people who may not be muslims in the world. Religion brings similar people together, it does not make the different people less human.
|
I fail to see see how its less human for Afzal to be concerned about muslims more than non-muslims in the cyclone hit areas as his family, relatives and friends live there.
Dont you just love being self-righteous and measure peoples level of humanity by mere words rather than actions as if you were some sort of a god?...such judgmental attitude leads one to become a bigot..

I agree with what you're saying...in principle we shouldn't argue over it.
but bluestar was accusing Afzaal of being inhuman for being less concerned about non muslims...are you justifying her judgment?

i suggest you swallow your immaturity and appreciate the fact that people don't want this argument in this thread at the moment.

Re: 10,000 killed in Burmese cyclone
people- with all due respect, please forget what has been said.
I believe its just a misunderstanding.
anyway, update is...some phonelines are up..water supply in Rangoon has been restored (alhamdulillah).
but the !#@*&# govt. is playing the fool and not speeding up the entry of foreign aid workers. they are trying to take advantage of the situation.
most of us are getting really frustrated with the government (on top of the anger for not being informed effectively about the cyclone)
at this point, if France's proposal to forcibly enter BUrma for aid is approved by the UNSC, we as citizens of Burma will be more then happy.
and US have some navy on standby somewhere in the bay of bengal.they are considering to airdrop aids into burma as the harami govt. didnt allow aid from the US navy.
PLEASE MAKE SURE ANY DONATIONS YOU MAKE GOES DIRECTLY TO THE VICTIMS AND NOT THROUGH THE BURMESE GENERALS !!!!

Wow..There comes another retarded response from a so called "Moderator".
Afzaal's family, relatives, friends, etc. are stuck in a country which is hit terribly bad by a cyclone causing over 20,000 casualties, and you're criticizing his concerns and giving him humanity lessons instead at a moment when he's desperately trying to find out the well-being of his loved ones in cyclone hit areas..??
Many people told you to take back your words in subtle and non-subtle ways...but you showed no leniency in reconsidering your words..
Ever heard of a thing called civility? and sensitivity ...in trying times? You being a moderator.. ever thought about how terrible of an example you're setting here with that pathetic pompous and judgmental attitude of yours?
I hope Azhar is reading this...Seriously

Harassment isn't tolerated on this board, so i would urge you to reconsider what you type when referring to mods. You have been told this before, so we'll make this your second warning, if you have a problem with moderators, PM admin. Expressing it in a manner equivalent to a baby spitting out his dummy is inappropriate.

It seems like you know more about what people tell me than i do. I had a discussion with one member and found he was intending to be informative. I may not agree with this, but i think you'll agree that arguing about it at this point isn't productive or wise. So i suggest you take it to PM if you're still itching to type.

Re: 10,000 killed in Burmese cyclone
May Allah help the victims of the cyclone. ameen.
this is freaking ridiculous...the Myanmmar government has seized UN aid that was flown in. U.N. halts Myanmar flights after aid 'seized' - CNN.com
they're pretty damn good at suppressing the monks protests but can't lift a finger to help their starving people.

Re: 10,000 killed in Burmese cyclone
Salaamz
i just got an unconfirmed news... apparently the harami govt. has sent its dogs (soldiers) into the rural place...airlifting the villagers to the centres.
They have been refusing to airlift peopple from ethnic minority (Muslims mainly)...
it seems to me that they will play God and decide who lives and who dies...(i think the oppositions party will fall victim to this also)
its just rumours at the moment...i hope its just a rumour to discredit the govt.
but..being burmese i know too well this is not an uncommon practice there.
UN MUST FORCE AID INTO BURMA!!!
it will gravly help if u guys can write and urge ur government to by pass the Bumese govt. red tapes, by force.!
