A testament to how great friendships with Britain go sour.

It was an ironic statement-based joke where the amusement would lie within the absurd notion that the said child had anything to do with the choice of his name, or indeed any of his namesake's crimes

Re: Bishop warns of no-go zones for non-Muslims
UK is a very backwards country when it comes to prejudice. Every community is paranoid and is all for building forts. The muslims are no different. I hate that tiny little island.

Re: Bishop warns of no-go zones for non-Muslims
Praise be to the almight, I don't live there!
I think european culture is like that in general. There is a reason the french speak french, the german speak german, etc etc to this day in that tiny europe. Prejudice and Paranoia is the literal essense of communities there. Hence the whites keep their kids close when non whites walk by, and vice versa with ALL the communities in UK...and therein europe. I think this type of culture has helped cultivate the extremist islam in europe and uk.

Generally speaking, British Culture has been quite Xenophobic on home soil. So its no suprise that its alternative leadership would claim the same of other groups.

Uh, yeah, maybe they speak it because it's their language?

Don't know about America, but if a black man walks around in a white neighborhood, someone will probably call the cops.
These people are fear mongering to hide the decadence of their civilization.

All I'm saying is that despite thousands of years for these countries to exist, they remain segregated into their own countries complete with their own language, food, and culture. What is amazing here is the proximity of it all. An area thats so tiny, yet with a formal integration like the rest of the world. What caused it? in general terms, the thematic and fashionable culture of isolation in europe.
The muslim community, especially in the UK is dangerously cut and isolated as a byproduct of this theme. They have these extreme paranoia that muslims in the US don't have.

no, there's a couple of areas with high asian populations but a lot of white people don't go there because they don't know how to respond to the hustle and bustle.
I live close to a couple of areas which are "no-go" but they're no-go for other reasons (violent area).
Bishop Nazir Ali seems like someone who's desperate trying to distance himself from a culture everyone assumes he fits but obviously doesn't
Also, there wasn't a word said about how he said muslims should stop amplifying the sound of prayer in specific areas which i felt was not only narrow-minded of him but also slightly dumb when church bells ring throughout the day.
I like churchbells, especially when loads of bells are used, and i've rung one before but i also love the adhan, it's words, meaning, the way it calls out, even it's resonance

Re: Bishop warns of no-go zones for non-Muslims
jammy, did he just say we're extremely paranoid? We're a strength for this countrys economy which is why Powell wanted so many indians to come here in the first place. We kick butt, thank you and if we've kept our own culture and food, it's not because we're intimidated but happy with our traditions and heritage
bloody anthropologist.
